Does a SS take a stats penalty for playing in the FS position, and vice versa?

Thanks... I hadn't really noticed one either when we played safeties in reversed slots, but those guys were pretty slow/low anyway so really couldn't tell either way.

It really shouldn't matter, unless your SS is really built like a LB, then it would make a difference.
If not, no.

Not really. Safeties can be interchangeable. Performance wise, it's really matter of build type aka Cover Skills, Run Stuffer, etc.
