I know vision is supposed to help you know where the ball is so you can catch it, but how useful is it? In other words, what should be the range you should have your vision at?

Vision is truly important.
You will run better route, make better fake, see clearly the passes and drop less.
Do a test, spent SPs in it and watch your receiving bar increase.

Bort has said that catching is the main factor in catching a pass and that vision and jumping are seconardy. So, vision will help you cut down on drops. I don't know if it is something you want to cap or not, but you definitely want to work on it. I'd recommend upper 20's to mid 30's.

How do you actually know that?

I guess that's what flames did:

Looking at his WRs I gues you don't need much vision or agilitiy.

vision is key. MY WR's vision is about 45 and not really fast but is pretty solid. It works best for possession WR's in my opinion.

Well they went all out on speed and it worked for the first 3 season until bort nerfed speed and buffed up agility. After that their statistical numbers declined.
