Signing day is nearly here and the Over The Rhine Red Dots need to make a splash to bounce back from a disappointing season 4 in USA bbb 1.
OTR pulled off a savy move and took the league by suprise by being the only team in bbb 1 to save their boosts for the playoffs. Secure financialy, and already owning the largest stadium in USA bbb 1, this looked to be a good move as they still made the playoffs with 100 morale and a 6 seed.
They made it past the Bay Area Bastards in a hard fought battle, but got bit by the big-play bug in the 2nd round against the upstart South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice. Down 13-6, the Red Dots were driving early in the 4th quarter. Facing third and 2.5 from the Otto 19, Canton Cannon was picked off, and Shammond Williams scampered 87 yards for the TD. The Dots rallied late, but couldn't overcome the 14 pt defecit, losing 23-16.
After the game, offensive co-ordinator Skanker Irl announced his resignation, stating a need to refocus his energies on the ailing Cobra Kai.
Even through all of that, morale remained high in the Red Dots camp. Team owner jktooley, tired of disappointment, rededicated himself to what started the Red Dots 3 year playoff streak..... endless recruiting, and hours of GLB research.
Will it pay off? Will OTR finally make the jump to the elite, or will it be another disappointing year? Will Canton Cannon be able to shake the Peyton Manning-esque label and win the big one?
