Cover 0 man didn't work as well as I hoped.

Thinking of going cover 2 and blitz both FS and SS.

I've read the guides, and blitzing the SS in cover 2 isn't recommended, but maybe in this short yardage situation it would be OK. No help for the CBs if they decide to pass, though.

Got some scrimmage games coming, so guess I'll try that as a test.

Blitz the MLB.

You need to send players to 'eat up' blocks, leave a man close enough to make a play. Vwala.

cover 2 is the 2 safeties going into over coverage. they blitz you could get eaten alive in a long pass. try a 3-4 at the goal line blitz the IRLB. works for me.

Doesn't the RILB cover the TE? If not, who does (or does it depend on which side they line up the TE on)?

it depends on the formation, that one you post is a tough because it is a pass and run formation. If you can isolate which formations ONLY have run plays it would make it easy to stop those.

for the one you provided I would say yeah blitz the MLB

8 guys in the block. Blitz ROLB, MLB, and SS. CB1, CB2, FS, and LOLB used for coverage.

Had a scrimmage today, so tried blitzing the FS and SS.

Worked OK on this play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=138307&pbp_id=9506385

Very next play the FS and SS drop back (out of the back of the endzone): http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=138307&pbp_id=9506422

AI tester shows that it should have been the same defense both times. Why did the FS and SS blitz one time, but not the other? The defense has 3 max blitzers, with FS, SS, and ROLB all at 100%.

Again later, the FS and SS drop back instead of blitzing: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=138307&pbp_id=9507331

Kind of annoying...why isn't the AI doing what the tester says? Usually I'm the one saying it's user error...but it did run the correct defense once. Auto adjust is off, etc.

Are your inputs dependent on yards to first down? Ive seen some inputs get a little screwy when it is such-and-such down "and G".

Yards to first down is blank for all inputs.

Moving discussion to a bug thread, since this is now a bug. Includes screenshots of the defense AI screen and AI tester result.

The problem seems to be the LBs immediately dropping into coverage. Cover0 doesn't seem to keep the LBs inside the box very well, regardless of the other settings. Cover3 might have worked here, putting a FS on a WR while keeping the LBs at home between the tackles near the LoS at the snap. I've got this all mapped out at home, I'll take a look.

And you're sure you were set for underneath man?
