he'll be training agility til he soft caps and then speed. has anyone had success doing this? since he'll be slowly built i'm expecting him to be rubbish for 2 seasons anyway lol

If you're willing to accept that he won't for 2 seasons why not just slow build the traditional way and soft cap your important attributes before putting points in SA's. That way you'll get more "bonus" points in the attributes you've soft capped earlier each time you level up.

that's just it, with slow building the SPs aren't used until its time to buff up a stat. some hold back til the 2nd soft cap, others the 3rd. there is no rush into pumping the SPs at any point in time!!

if anything, i'll be saving all SP (except a few more for juke) until i feel he'd be ready for the buffing up. i've also put no equipment on stamina or do i intend on training it, it'll slow his PT even further so XP during games are kept low whilst the bulk will come from training.

i feel that the moment he feels its time to soft cap the key attributes the SAs will kick in very quickly causing an instantaneous advantage - i hope. useful SAs with just +1 or even +2 won't make a huge impact, but +4 or even +5 with CE could be an adventage and a platform for more to add on

since it takes no training to add to SA i can afford to time even slower to build up. no equipment no training on stamina to reduce PT, he's gonna be a very slow build. i'm doing the same with a speedy RDE too.

the moment he does 'mature' you'll see a HB that'll bamboozle the defenders of the same level

if the results are cack then i'll consign the idea to the dustbin - but there's no harm in trying. i'll just get my FP back and use it on something more contructive

oh i should mention that i'm only putting SP into maxing out juke and head fake only

I get it. Well I'd be interested to see how he performs once you do soft cap the key attributes.

IMO, this is not going to work. You gain XP so quickly in the lower levels it's crazy. You only need to get 20 plays to get about 400 XP and since the work load is easily divided up between the HB's on the team, even the lowest guy on the depth charts gets a lot of XP. You will probably level-up 3 times in the first 10 days even with 10 stamina. Good luck!

I tried this with my guy.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=631475

I didn't go.... too crazy with my SA's, but he managed to be decent in the D-Leagues (as are most people).

Stats from this last season:

23 Receptions, 84.5 yards, 0 TDs, 14 drops.
225 Rushes, 745 yards, 3.3 ypc, 7 TDs, 33 Broken Tackles, 22 Tackle for a loss
92 KR, 2257 yards, 24.5 average, 0 TDs
54 PR, 590 yards, 10.9 average, 0 TDs

I would say that is decent production considering how ragged my HB was all the time. More of a stamina issue I think, constantly entered games under 100 energy and recently have been finishing games under 50.

i purposely started after the regular season, so 10 days of training will eventually get me to lvl 2. currently on XP 200/1000. and after that he'll likely join a farm team that'll slow his growth

My HB dumped everything into the power tree until i hit 4-8-4-8, and it's been moderately effective.

Had I played against defenses my level instead of 15 levels above, I think I might have had a huge season. As it is, I've still managed to be productive even though I'm overmatched.

i made a guy that i put all sps into head fake/quick cut until head fake was 10 then started workin on juke. beginning of the season he was buck nasty but the longer the season went on his production dropped and dropped. i eventually deemed him a failed experiment and deleted him
