Some say i put to much into speed, but 60 for speed is just fine. My plans are to soft cap vision and tackling. Bring strength up to 80 and bring agility to 55 or 60. I'm training jumping and confidences. How does my plan sound to ya'll?

Player Attributes
Physical Attributes Football Skills
Strength: 60.5 Blocking: 13.8
Speed: 60.5 Tackling: 27.5
Agility: 48.5 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 13.8 Catching: 10
Stamina: 30.68 Carrying: 8
Vision: 30.21 Kicking: 9
Confidence: 18.09 Punting: 9

Well statistically he hasnt done much, not saying its a bad plan but it doesnt appear hes done much in 2 seasons.

Sadly im having the same problem.

Apparently out of all the DE's in the league a certain % can get sacks and the rest regardless of build do nothing.

I'm not to worried about stats right now, but by season 5 i hope he'll be a beast at either left or right side.

My level 11 DE has more speed and agility than yours. But does not compare in anything else because he is just a Baby! I am probably where you are at to in comparison in levels to other players in the mid to lower range of the field in the league.

Also focus your equipment in 1 maybe 2 skills. I am hearing people say one and I am starting to think that way also.

well if you have any equip in str take it out.
throw it into spd or agi.
str is an overrated skill for pass rushing

It sounds like you are building a strength type DE, which is totally fine. I have a high agility DE, thats just a different route to go. Stay the course and you will be fine. You definitely need strength 85 - 90 to bowl over ot's in this game. Go Niners!!!

Can never really have too much speed.

Strength on the other hand, is not needed. As iMan said, if you have equipment on str, move it to spd.

Not everybody is dwight freeney... there is nothing wrong with having a strenght based DE anchoring the line, just my opinion.

Agreed, us balance/strength/agility based DEs can be just as effective as speed focused DEs. Plus we add benefits to run defense.

I still feel by season 5 he'll turn into a force on the outside.

I would think with his high speed and once i get agility up to 55, plus getting strength atleast close the second cap. I shouldn't have problem getting around the OT's.

Your speed is just fine, look at Deebo's guide as a good guide for strength based DEs

everyone here is looking at mike's awesome build and thinking zomg thats the best ever MUST GET ME SUM SAX and they forgot theres 2 DEs on a team and one has A LOT harder job than the other.

I'd take strenght/speed/agility equal guy or strength higher than speed/agility any day over a speed/agility no strength guy for LDE.

I'll take the extra 20 sacks and stack the run instead.
