Yes I know, too much Catching. It was the first thing soft capped. My goal now is to improve Str/Blocking, atleast to mediocre levels so he's not a complete waste when it comes to Run Blocking.

Strength: 49.13 Blocking: 36.67
Speed: 52.72 Tackling: 14.07
Agility: 30.79 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 23.1 Catching: 62.02
Stamina: 31.81 Carrying: 25.18
Vision: 36.39 Kicking: 10
Confidence: 23.43 Punting: 8

2-1-0-0-0
3-5-2-2-2

I don't know that that's too much catching...it is a core attribute for a receiving te...

however you need to spend the next 4 leves boosting agility and vision.

there is no reason you shouldn't have those capped at least for agility.

3 levels agi and 1 level vision. also what is your speed at? are these stats with or without equipment bonuses?

I believe your str and blocking will take care of themselves when you level...just from the .5 boost you get.

I have 48 str and 30 blocking and I have like 30+ pancakes this season...

is the team you are on using a run heavy offense?

Nah, more of a balanced. Sometimes we lean abit more on the passing, hence the Recieving TE build.

The whole idea of this TE was to just simply catch the ball. He's not meant to be a flashy ball runner or anything, just simply catch and move the chains that way.

Probably should increase jumping then.

too many times i've caught a ball for 8 yards after our RB got stuffed once and then had an incomplete pass only for me to end up with 4th and 2 and have to punt the ball.

I noticed that way too many times early on in my build. I attributed that to not having enough speed/agility and strength. More often than not, I've seen the opposite occur. I'll get anywhere from 2-5 yards over the needed amount to reach a first down. I've spent nothing on quick cut or lower shoulder.

You've got strength - there's no reason you shouldn't boost those (str/blocking), but as a TE you will deal most with CBs and Linebackers anyway...they are both commonly built for speed...I think you're wasting skill points by spending too much on blocking.

I quote

I see in my TE with blocking 37.39...he don't lose the man when he do run/pass block...even vs LB/DE lv 26-29.

maybe I can say to be at right level of block to do my job...maybe at lv +30 I'll need more block.

with adequate strength/agility ecc...block 37 is good...now

Agility is definitely the way to go. My TE has good speed, but loses all momentum after catching the ball and changing directions. I will say, however, that having vision on par with your catching will make you a wonderful possession receiver. My TE doesn't get much YAC, but is a lock for 5+ catches, most of which are for first downs, a game.

As for blocking, I kept my Str and Blk at the same level as Spd and Cth and have had outstanding production as a run blocker (50+ pancakes). It all depends on what you are trying to do with your player. I like that my TE pitches in on running plays and ST just as much as a receiver.
