East Has more Championships then the West Easts top 8 has won more then the top 8 of the West
Sure you guys can say that you have the better 16 teams but what really matters is the the top 8 teams (maybe give or take the 9 and 10 seeds)

East > West
Faulty logic because up to this point the only games played are against conference opponents. More bad teams at the bottom = better ecords at the top.
Honeslty, this really can't be decided unless the schedule changes to incorporate more than one regular season East vs West game a year.
How exactly do intra-conference records determine which conference is better? The top teams in the East could suck, but as long as the other teams sucked harder they'd still have a ton of wins. And why the cutoff? I understand you're trying to make it comparing playoff teams, but since the other 8 teams are still in the conference and play everyone else in it, that seems pretty arbitrary.

You still don't understand what I'm saying.
If the East has 5 teams that are automatic wins versus the West, which has 3 teams which are essentially automatic wins, the top teams will obviously have better records.
You can't compere the conferences when they're only played each other. It's dumb.
If they ever switch up the schedules to include more regular season games between East and West, then it's a discussion. Right now it's like arguing NL vs AL in the days before interleague.
How does only the top 8 matter? IF the other 8 are just teams you steamroll through, it makes your season really only 8 games long. Where as the West has to play say maybe 12-13 games for real.
