he's only got a "punting" bar of 48 though

Well, his Punting attribute seems really low for some reason. If possible he should relocate all his equipment into Punting. And why so much tackling? Just more wasted training/points.

just because you have a good punter doesent mean you have a good special teams. You can punt 99 yards but if your special teams sucks at what they do you wont have a good average.

Not that this means anything to the discussion, but, I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone so close to the soft-cap on an attribute (str - 48.06) without actually exceeding it. Your Conf is sitting at 48 too. Wondering why you didn't go ahead and add a point to each when you had the chance to hit the soft-cap and start getting double on your leveling bonus?

Punting should be higher so too should strength and confidence at your level. Basically you blew this guy by not hitting caps early enough

My punters stats are terrible.. but it's not because he can't kick. I only get 2-3 punts a game, and they're usually from inside my 40 to the opponents 40, so they either touchback for -20 yards, or only go for 25-35 yards.

The secret to the best punting average?

Set up the offensive AI such that you don't punt inside the 45...

Stats to me for a punter are overrated. A punter shouldn't have extremely high stats, IMO, you just want him to be able to do his job when the time arises (whether it be in your's or your opponents territory). As a team you really don't want to punt at all, you just want to have a punter that can do it, and do it right. Just my opinion..
