Im trying to make an old school hard nosed full back. Short yardage, punch your teeth in kinda guy. I dont think Im off to a bad start. Let me know

Strength: 36.5 Blocking: 38.5
Speed: 17.05 Tackling: 12.2
Agility: 19.5 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 10.21 Catching: 12.2
Stamina: 24.2 Carrying: 20.5
Vision: 22.94 Kicking: 10
Confidence: 21.3 Punting: 8

SA
Blocking 1-2-2-2-2
Offense 1-1-2-1-2

Heres my line as a back up
23 carries 50yds 4.2ypg 2.2ypc 7tds

Ive been used primarily in short yardage, goal line situations thats why the ypc is way down. I was also wondering if it would be beneficial to sell my custom eq and use the fp to lvl? it would give me 5 sp instead of just the one I have. Either that or buy more custom eq. Let me know what anyone thinks.

Ok, here's the low down...

1) you want to get your attributes to the soft cap (48 natural) as soon as possible. Well at least your primary attributes (I.E. the ones that go up automatically, as you level).

2) Custom equipment is better than boosting a couple levels. This is because once an attribute gets over the soft cap, it starts costing more to raise them. Equipment bonuses are static, they raise it by whatever number, no matter your current attribute score. So eventually, the +6 from custom equipment can be worth 40+ skill points (aka 8 levels)... once you get that attribute very high. Also, you may only equip one custom piece of equipment.

3) For the same reason as #2... you want to put all your equipment, optimally, on one attribute (maybe two).

4) Maximize training efficiency. Spend points only on attributes that are over 20-25 naturally. Use training to get attributes to this point.

5) If you're building a player for the long term, it's better in the long run to suck early in your career. By building for the future. For example, stacking stats to get them to the soft cap as early as possible. So that each level there after will benefit more from each level up. This only works for certain attributes (the ones that raise automatically with every level). Freeing up skill points later on in your player's career, to spend on other things.

STOP with the SAs.

Attributes are so much better for a FB below level 20.

Especially if you are a blocking back.

Why buy lead block AND spot blitz to get a boost to blocking, when you could just buy blocking?

I'd agree with everything that's already been said here. As for anything more specific, I'd say go for increasing your strength (at least to the soft cap) and probably your speed (by some points) for the time being. I would leave your blocking alone for now, since it's relatively high and your strength will help compensate for that if you end up blocking.

But when push comes to shove, it's your call.
