West:
Game of the Week:
Colorado (8-4) vs. SNK (7-5)
SNK has dropped 5 of their last 6 and now are in danger of missing the playoffs. This week they almost dropped Fresno and gave them their first loss but their late comeback was halted when Fresno made a game winning field goal. SNK had a chance to come back, but punted on their own 42 with 2:41 left with 1.5 yards to go. Colorado would love to have another quality win to add to their resume, but SNK will be ready for them.
San Francisco (8-4) vs. Tulsa (6-6)
Tulsa struggled against Tijuana badly. If they don't put up a W against San Francisco, you can put a stake in them. San Francisco can put themselves in great position for a home game with a win.
Playoff Impact Game:
Tijuana (7-5) vs. Lauderdale (7-5)
My guess is the winner of this game is in, and the loser is out. Tijuana has been hot lately, winning their last 3. Lauderdale has lost their last 3. Everyone will be giving it their all in this game.
East:
Playoff Impacting Games:
Indy (10-2) vs. Maine (5-7)
Indy trailed early against Detroit, but put up enough points to pull out a win. Maine's heartbreak continues, losing last week by giving up a field goal with under 2 minutes left to lose the game. Maine had a chance to come back, but fumbled on their late drive. Although Maine can still make the playoffs with a loss this week, a win would bring them back into the playoff picture. Indy looks to lock down the 3rd seed giving them the prize of having to face Naperville early in the playoffs. Perhaps they should lose on purpose so that they can face a team that their owner ranked 10th in the conference in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Martha's Vineyard (6-6) vs. Milwaukee (10-2)
Martha's Vineyard can get in the playoffs soundly with 2 more wins, and might be able to scrape by with only 1 more win. Milwaukee looks to fight for the #3 seed which will require a bit of help from Indianapolis and a near perfect run against some of the tough teams. Milwaukee ends with the toughest schedule in BBB #16, with games against Sin City, Naperville, and EZ Company. The good news is, they are unlikely to drop any lower than 4th.
New Orleans (8-4) vs. Detroit (4-8)
Detroit is 4-8 and in playoff contention? It's a bit of a stretch but they actually have a decent shot of making it. Their last 3 games are very winnable, although Dutch Harbor has improved quite a bit and is looking to add a win against Detroit. If they can pull an upset against New Orleans, they will be in great shape to make the playoffs. They have played the top BBB #16 teams close in their losses and have greatly improved from their 0-4 start where they looked like they might not pick up a win this season. New Orleans continues to look strong is coming off of a loss to Naperville. New Orleans might be able to squeeze into a home game if they win out.
