Well, I am going to cut off the voting for the first edition of our Coaches Poll. I awarded a first place vote with 10 points, 2nd with 9, and so on down the line. Eleven teams participated (hopefully more will join as I am sure some missed this thread being that its an off day and the end the of the weekend.) Looks like we have a tight battle for #1 with the Heat taking top honors this week!!

1. Brisbane Heat 104 (6)
2. FFLW Caninites 102 (5)
3. Tonga Ikale Tahi 86
4. FFLivewire Cans 68
5. Fiji Sea Turtles 50
6. Rawle Tech Titans 49
7. West Scranton Invaders 44
8. New England Burning Pride 40
9. Vanuatu Kava Sharks 19
9. Canberra Strike 19

Others Receiving Votes:
East Coast Tide 17, Wagga Wagga Fighting Squirrels 5, IC Incinerators 2

() denotes first place votes

Good job beenlurkn. I think this is one of the best rankings we will have. It brings a human aspect to it. I like the numbers rankings as well, but I think this one tells the whole story. It takes into account how your leaguemates view your team. It also brings in more than just numbers. For example, the Heat beat both the FFLW and the Cans and yet were ranked below them due to numbers. IMO, they should be number one this season until proven other wise.

Solid list IMO.

Agreed 100%. I am also happy to see that 9 of the 10 teams I had on the list made the final top 10 (and pretty close to where I had them).

ETA: 'blitz, go check out my ideas for our game against the Monkeys.

Same for me, 9/10 with the top 6 in exact order. BTW, good luck with your tournament game, you guys are representing Oceania Pro well.

My top 3 were the same, though in a slightly different order. I had two teams quite a bit lower, and I had Wagga Wagga in there instead of Canberra based on Wagga's stunning results the last few games.

I agree, this is a good addition.

I'll be honest, my top 10 didn't look too much like that, at least after the top 4. wasn't drastically different though. I was one of the people with wagga wagga on the list
