This is my player who i created at the time i was playing with some single-attribute maxing builds. It seems a strength only DE is utterly worthless.

Question is, can he be fixed to be useful or is he past the point of no return and I'd be better off retiring him and getting the Flex Points back?

Thoughts?

Whats up with all the points in agility based SAs?

The theory was that shed block was the win, and I think the Tunnel Vision stuff was just me getting a bit lost after his production was just totally non-existant.

Strong Base and strength go hand in hand. Speed and agility go with TV and Shed Block.

You have him ass backwards right now.

It is easily fixable if you want to keep playing him, but at this point it may take you a whole season or more to get him fixed.

If you want to stay Strength based, just start pumping points into Strong Base, gonna take a while though, as it didn't seem to be effective before about level 6 (7) for my DT, and that was before the "fix" to O-Line this this season.

Or you can take all of your gear off of strength and put it towrads agility, and then train and SP agility and speed until they are both soft capped.

Right now tunnel vision isn't doing anything for you. It is a percentage increase to your speed and agility, which are so low it is barely going to make a difference. And even when shed block works for you, you don't have the speed or acceleration to get around the corner. Plus all of that strength (not nearly high enough anyway if you wanted to be strength only) isn't doing anything for you since you don't have the Bull rush move (strong base) to take advantage of it.

Without even looking at your stats or listening to you say they are bad, just by looking at your build I can tell you aren't going to do much of anything the way you are built right now.

I just looked at your team, you are in a non-capped league, and going against level 24+ OT's... I would be willing to make a VERY large wager that none of the OT's you have faced will have lower strength than you, definitely not significantly lower enough for you to have a chance at making a play. Even with a perfect build a level 14 DE is going to have a rough day going against O-Linemen 5-10+ levels above him.

Really what did you expect he was going to do that you are disappointed?

He wasn't getting any production in the D-leagues either, it's not just since he turned up in the non-capped league.

I may have made a stupid build, but i'm not entirely retarded.

I'd throw every point into agility and then the build may be saved since all your points are in agility based SAs and your player will need the agility, I wouldn't even touch SAs until your agility is at a decent level.

it would have been interesting if you had not spent so many SPs on SAs. You could have easily hit the 4:1 softcap, natural. Then with equipment, then we would have been talking.

I assume you have read Deebo's guide, seems like you should be able to save this build. Although you probably can't switch to a speed rusher you should be able to have modest success especially as an LDE. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Well of course a strength/shed block build wouldn't work well. Shed block is for getting around blocks, strength/strong base is for going through them.

It's like trying to be a sprinter but only lifting weights for training. Or being a boxer but only training your kicking.

If you don't care about losing the money I would retire and retry a strength DE with the contain abilities. In particular Wall and Strong Base.

I'd like to try to build a 3-4 D-Line with two contain DE's and a NT. All with high strength/wall/strong base. Bet that could be a vicious blitz team.

First I would switch all my equipment from strength to agility, next i would exclusivly train confidence and most important pour all your future points from now till the 1st soft cap into agility. The build is not lost and as long as you boost it won't take too long to fix.

Edit: don't put another point into SAs either

The funny thing is, your strength based DE is not very strong.
