What a week! We saw the Pimps held out of the endzone, Stockholm explode offensively and the Musketeers tear up more sod then a landscaping company. The playoff picture is becoming more clear, but which 2 teams get left out is still up for debate.

Korb - 23 Rohrheim - 14
Rohrheim roared out of the gates with 2 TD passes to Shaun "Speed" Wellington in the first half and took the lead into the locker room. Korb came out in the second half and, in typical Korb fashion, relied heavily on the run game to grind out an opening TD drive. A FG to start the 4th quarter gave the Destroyers a double digit lead and Rohrheim's best chances came up short, giving up a "coverage sack" on 3rd down in Korb territory (http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=85641&pbp_id=5282706) and throwing a game clinching INT on 1st & Goal, at the Korb 10, with 2 minutes to play (http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=85641&pbp_id=5283224).
Game MVP: Korb "back 7". Tight coverage led to 2 sacks and a big INT in the 2nd half, turning the tide of this game.
Paper Bag Award: Rohrheim QB Gunn Slinger. An otherwise solid performance was ruined when he failed to see the LB near the goalline and threw the ball right to him.

Stockholm - 47 Oslo - 3
Discovering the magic of the big play, Stockholm put this one away early and coasted to an easy win. Nearly 600 yards of offense from Stockholm has to have FDC scrambling to the computer to write about it (or so we all hope)!
Game MVP: Stockholm TE Brick Esshaus. 8 receptions, 200 yards (yes I'm rounding up) & 2 TDs. Quickly emerging as one of the top threats on the Meatball offense.
Paper Bag Award: Oslo QB Chad Bennett. Throwing 5 INTs means Oslo had no chance to keep it respectable.

Multiple - 45 Valencia - 0
No surprise here, though I thought the Goats would get on the scoreboard. The Scorgasms' strong running game is back on track and TE Michael Howatt pulled in his first TD in 3 games.
Game MVP: Scorgasms offensive line. 6.5 yards per rush, no sacks & no hurries.
Paper Bag Award: Valencia coverage teams. Getting pancaked 7 times by a WR?!?

Roughnecks - 27 Pimps - 3
Wow. Rotterdam shocks the league with a dominating win over the Pimps. Rather then win a shootout, the Roughnecks rode the backs of HBs Brady Smith & Pain Train 21 all game long, winning the field position battle and grinding clock. The scary part? Rotterdam K Gianni Verschueren missed 2 FGs, this game could have been uglier.
Game MVP: Rotterdam HB Brady Smith. 5ypc & 3 TDs against one of the best run defenses in WEPL is a huge statement.
Paper Bag Award: Oslo Beserkers. All I know is I'm REALLY glad we aren't playing the Pimps next game.

Oxford - 30 DFools - 27
The "Relegation Bowl" showed us exactly why these two teams are near the bottom of the barrel in WEPL. Oxford, despite being out gained by 50% of their total yardage, comes away with the win in large part due to this 14 point swing (http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=85652&pbp_id=5279907). Best of luck DFools, it would take some serious magic to keep you in WEPL.
Game MVP: Oxford DE eagle god. 97yd fumble return for a TD put DFools in a hole they couldn't quite climb out of.
Paper Bag Award: Oxford passing game. 86.5 total passing yards. Yes, 86.5.

Frankfurt - 24 Bari - 3
The HEAT just keep on keeping on. An incredibly balanced offensive attack (166.5 rushing yards, 168.5 passing) kept Bari off balance while the defense refused to let the Barracudas get any sort of groove going. Bari must address their passing issues (4 sacks allowed, 4 INTs) if they want to be able to contend in the future.
Game MVP: Frankfurt DE Chris Edwards. Incredibly disruptive DE showed up big with 5 tackles, 1 TFL, 2 sacks and 1 forced fumble.
Paper Bag Award: Bari offensive line. Couldn't open up the holes for the rush or keep the QB upright.

Paris - 17 Reykjavik - 16
Runrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrun. That's the train of thought for Paris owner tonato and for a damn good reason. The Musketeers challenged the Aggie defense to stop their rush game and the Aggies couldn't answer the call. 70 rushes & 252 yards later, the Musketeers are keeping their bid for a home playoff game alive while the playoff hopes of the Aggies just got dimmer. Offensively, the Aggies struggled to consistently move the ball (2.1ypc, 48% completion) and continue to be plagued with "fumbilitis", putting the ball on the ground 3 times.
Game MVP: Paris defensive "front 7". Completely shut down the Aggie rushing game and collected 3 sacks.
Paper Bag Award: Aggies K Heywood Jablowme. Missing PATs is a good way to lose close games.

MA - 227 SGPO - 0
MA won. By a lot.
Game MVP: Me, for bothering to mention this game .
Paper Bag Award: MA offense. Seriously, HALF A YARD from 1000?!?!

boomer82's Zeta Top 10
1- MA Trolls (Final 1 loss team remaining, coming up on the meat of their schedule)
2- Frankfurt HEAT (Last year's conference champs do everything well)
3- Multiple Scorgasms (4 very tough games remain)
4- Korb Destroyers (Elite rushing attack makes them a challenge to consistently stop)
5- Rivals Mainboard Pimps (Stunning loss, but with only 2 challenging games remaining they should climb back near the top)
6- Paris Musketeers (Runrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrun)
7- Stockholm Meatballs (Needed a big offensive output to get back on track)
8- Rotterdam Roughnecks (Major statement against the Pimps, best .500 team in GLB?)
9- Reykjavik Aggies ("Roller coaster" doesn't even begin to describe the inconsistency shown by the Aggies this year)
10- Rohrheim Stampede (Gaining momentum & refining their game plan as the season goes along)

Tune in tomorrow (hopefully) for a week 11 preview!

Thanks for the love, working with a new spreadsheet I haven't seen before to try and get some different computer rankings (which I will reference if I continue to do these write-ups).

Might not get week 11 up, working on getting as drunk as I can tonight so we'll see. If I have a couple hours real quick I'll get it up, if not I'll get up a W11 review for sure tomorrow.

Love me some Patron!
