About the most speculation I've seen on it is that it could help you with avoiding a diving tackle, but I've never seen that confirmed. Maybe it would help with the Dive for Yards SA, but I honestly don't think you'd see the benefits that you would if you were in another position (even HB).

Jumping is for Diving Catches and DIves into the endzone!

Still underrated, but I think jumping is now the most underrated stat.

Jumping helps quite a few positions in various things. It won't help you block somebody or something like that doesn't make any sense, but it helps with catching, swatting balls, diving tackles, avoiding those low leg tackles, diving for yards, punting, etc.

Breaks tackles and dives for yards

Somebody should make a jumping/strength/speed/agility dive for yards build.

The most I can promise you is that I may drop a few points and a training day or two into Jumping at some point. That and not much else.
