So a lot of us once we get to lvl 25 or so are at that point where we got speed, agility, and vision capped, and jumping/catching and some SA's at a reasonable level.

Now what do you guys do?

Jumping? A lot of us are experiencing a new issue this season, which is the high amount of PD's that are getting caught by the WR anyway. Jumping up to 40+ may help alleviate this. I say "may" because I really haven't seen many CB's with jumping higher than 35 or so.

Tackling? Most of us still have catching at around 25, and a lot of RB's are breaking our tackles when they get to the outside. Getting it up to 35 should help avoid missed tackles greatly.

Confidence? A highly neglected attribute that may have some "hidden" negative effects when kept too low. A lot of us still have confidence in the low 20's, and it may lead to getting picked on over and over by WR's and could also contribute to missed tackles.

Catching? a bit of a luxury right now if you ask me.

more speed/agility even at 2 for 1? It's more expensive, but you know that you'd be spending it on important attributes.

So what do you guys think? Where are you guys building your CB's after the 3 main attributes are taken to the cap?

So what do you guys think?

I think getting jumping, catching, tackling, strength, carrying, and confidence to at least 30 should definitely be a goal. That doesn't mean that you should be dedicating all of your points to those attributes, though. At lvl 25 jumping and catching should already be at 30 anyways, and training the rest to 30 is a slow work, but possible. A lot of it depends on if you are having any problems with your cbs and how many points you have in SAs. Putting points in supervision is definitely a good idea, and, with the new better route running by wrs, points in change direction is also a good idea. There's no real "right" answer though, it just depends on what you want your cb to be like.

I just posted on another thread about the trouble with PD's. At your level I'd say jumping to 40, strength to mid 30s (I think higher strength will activate your tackling and help you bring down the HB's) while training tackling then match tackling, confidence up to 30+ then go from there. Thats my $.02 at least.

Strength needs to be a big focus. I used to be able to push the WR out of the way to get to the RB as he came around the corner and either get him in the backfield or for a very little gain, and now I can't get around the WR. Tackling is also something that has changed I've missed more tackles this season than all other seasons combined.

Go past the soft caps.

Train everything else.

Hey Brent, How many of your PD's are kept away from the recievers?

Interesting. Might be worth me putting some points into shutdown coverage. I've got speed, agility softcapped, and vision is nearly. Strength is 26, jump, tkl, catch and stamina are all just above 30. Not really sure where to go. Probably take vision to soft cap then move agility and speed a bit above it.

My Shutdown Coverage has largely meant that I don't have this issue. Once in 2 seasons isn't bad. The other CB's in my team get a lot though.
