I am working on a elusive back right now that is also pretty balanced. I am working on bringing speed to soft cap and then agility.

I just wanted to know if jumping is useful for HB? Maybe to stretch out for that extra 1/2 yard. Jumping over tackles and diving in for a TD.

I know it wouldn't be a primary stat but just seeing if its worth to train for a couple of days.

My jumping halfback averaged 6.2 yds/carry in his D league debut -

I'm holding off on making any conclusions until I obtain a sufficient sample size though

Well, eventually it'll apply to the dive for more yards SA, so you want at least something in jumping to be competent with that skill tree.

I see so no real tests have been done to see if Jumping really does improve the performance of your back. I guess I will lay of it for now maybe train it a couple of days here and there.

I just started out a running back in the D-leagues, and will soft-cap jumping before speed, agility, or power. Here is the build so far:
Strength: 13 Blocking: 10
Speed: 11 Tackling: 8
Agility: 15 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 23 Catching: 10
Stamina: 12 Carrying: 11
Vision: 11 Kicking: 9
Confidence: 12 Punting: 9

I want to focus on agility as well, see how the jumping-agility combo works.

It helps. Especially if you have Dive For Yards.

a lil, lil bit.

it helps break sloppy diving tackles or something.

i wouldn't put any SP's into it. maybe train it a lil.

I just started a new back in my experiment, 22 strength and 22 jumping. I will see how it works in the D-leagues and retire him if it is a waste

I am really leaning towards believing that it would increase the magnitude of jukes, but havent tested yet.

I did but bort will never flat out say this stat is useless. Everything in the game is useful but is it worthwhile? I think Jumping for a HB is important and will train next season. I still have other attributes that have my attention right now like strength and carrying.

I'm not sure the D leagues can ever tell you anything. I had an HB with 14 speed, 16 strength, and 15 agility run for 140 yards and 2 TDs. I didn't put any points into anything.

your right he said jumping was very useful and his new "underrated" attribute....so the answer is yes jumping is useful, it will probably help avoid diving tackles (jump over them)....just like in Madden, you are able to hurdle over people.
