I am vorking on a FS, and I would like to know what the best distance is. I am tryin the close distance for a game or two now.

on a second note i would like a comment about the build of my FS. the like is here:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=782406

He is trainin: Vision, and the plan is develop him into a pass coverage FS.

your FS looks like trash unless you are slow building him. as for coverage distance, i would say for a FS hang back so you don't get beat deep because he IS the deep guy

I think what Zero was so eloquently and tactfully getting at is that there is a huge gap between your speed and agility/vision. Your FS looks more like a sprinter than a football player. I think getting those two up should be a build priority for you.

In JD's defense, he is only a LVL 6...that being said, the disparity between speed & agility needs to be addressed quick, fast & in a hurry. Simply training Vision isn't gonna get it done either...skill points from leveling need to be invested in vision and IMHO Vision should be on par with agility which should only be slightly behind speed.

Confidence should be trained as well when others are at acceptable levels. Jumping shouldn't be ignored either...nor should strength. Build is very unbalanced and while speed kills, it doesn't matter how fast you are if you can't do much else.

WOrk on balancing out the majors/minor skills.

Good job in staying away from SA's....ignore those till late teens or so at earliest.

Take this advice with a LARGE GRAIN OF SALT!

In my opinion, I try to eliminate major problems in my build by the end of their SECOND season (~level 20 give or take) and get them properly balanced and tuned by the end of their THIRD season (~25+).

So, one persons imbalance that needs to be addressed right now, is another persons build strategy that is going according to plan.

I have one of my guys that has 60 raw speed and 14 raw agility at level 8. Major imbalance? Sure. Something I felt I needed to fix immediately? Nope, it wasn't in the plan yet. Now, close to 10 levels later I'm working on bringing agility in line and up to speed but I had other things that I felt were more important that I worked on before now.

So, while imbalances are bad, they aren't the end of the world and as long as you have a plan they are fine. Just make sure you have a plan

umm...i disagree with strength and would recomend tackling. at least so far as tackling should take precedence over strength. i stated this in another thread but i'll say it again. what i'm finging with my FS is that he is forcing more fumbles as i increase his tackling and not his strength.

>packman97 there is a plan, gettin the agility up to 35 with SP, train vision to around 35 then pick up the areas that is lackin.

you have to look at other attributes as well, that1guy. just because your tackling is going up does not immediately mean that is the cause of your FFums. closing speed and no doubt strength, along with a few others, definitely take precedence over tackling in terms of forcing fumbles.
