Currently building a level 7 TE:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=796083

who I'm eventually hoping will be a player who can throw a useful block and catch plenty of balls (not too fussed on YAC).

So far I've put his Stamina to where it should be right for a while, then I've started putting Strength up towards the soft cap, which should be finished in a couple of levels.

From there, I think I'll move on to Agility, while trainign Blocking and Catching to reasonable levels. Once thats done I'll probably move on to support attributes like Vision and Confidence.

Looking at the SAs, I'm not overly impressed. Get Low is the pick of the Blocking tree, but its way up there. Route Run, Sticky Hands and Quick Cut look useful. Either way, these will probably wait until level 20 or so.

Is this a reasonable plan for the build?

IMHO - boosting anything in your SA tree before level 30 is useless.

Make sure you get speed and agility to the soft cap quickest - blocking and strength will take care of themselves for the time being.

Once you have Agility/Speed both up to 48+, start to focus on Catching and Strength.

Train a mixture of confidence/jumping and carrying. Make sure you get Jumping and carrying to 20+ and if it were my TE - I'd focus on getting Confidence to 40+ by level 40.

This is just my opinion...some may disagree...

By level 30 - if you stick to something sort of regimen like this you should have Strength/Speed/Agility/Catching to the Soft Cap. You should also have Vision up around the soft cap with stamina around 30-35, jumping/carrying around 20-25 and confidence close to 40 if not over that.

After that - focus on SAs. This way you've got a good foundation for your SAs to work with and the theory is that you see better progress with your player in later levels when all the levels you gain are the ones you have paid for.

*shrug*
