I have just switched the team I am GMing from a 4-3 to a 3-4. I have a great RDE pass rusher but would like to rush him from the ROLB spot (ala Kamerion Wimbley + others).

Is it a smooth transition?

What's the penalty?

and....has anyone done it before?

I do it too, I used DE at both OLB in a 3-4

Wimbley was a DE at FSU and is now a ROLB for the Browns

Should do it if your DE is a considerable amount better than your ROLB, if they are close, wouldn't do it.
