What special abilities are best for TE's? Mainly receiving is what I'm after. But if there's a really good one in blocking that's low down the tree (say, inside the first three) I may be inclined to get it up a little too.

Just in general, if I'm investing into special abilities what's the best thing to put it in? I have a slow build TE that I've invested nothing into specials yet and I have 15 points stored up I'm about to spend.

No take on this subject?

I don't think there has been much success to report yet - like most positions, it's going to take some time to figure this SA tree thing out.

My best guess will be either siding with lower shoulder or quick cut or both as the best SAs for a receiving TE...but I haven't invested anything since level 8 or so....

During a scrimmage I dropped 5 passes with my TE. I have over 40 catching and over 40 vision - no telling what the problem was.

So to say I have any advice on SAs wouldn't be saying much.

The SA's won't kick in until you have hit the softcap with a few of the skills. For a receiving TE you need to hit 48 (before equip) in Strength, Catching, Speed and Agility, with a good dose of vision and jumping. Of course it is very hard to not pump up the SA's early in one's career
