Level 2, just starting out but curious where to go.
I'm not really thinking of my SS as being a sideline to sideline guy. I'm happy if he stays in just the strongside/middle.
Right now I'm reading that power backs are causing a problem with teams that are heavy in speed. Now I know I'm a noob, but so far after watching some plays in my two D-league games a power back can break into the secondary often enough to where a missed tackle by the safety could be crucial.
I'm thinking a run-supporting SS splitting strength/vision/speed/agility pretty evenly could be a viable build. It would be able to handle most TE's (I think). Not to mention the increased fumbles caused on WR's with little strength/carrying. The extra strength/agility would also help me shed WR blocks and get to the HB when he thinks he has a clear lane.
So what I'm wondering is if this sounds like it could work.
