What are people thinking about first step these days? If you have closer to a 1:1 speed:agility ratio, does it make as much of a difference? Even with the retarded stutter step WR seem to be doing a bunch these days, it's rare for a WR to come to a dead stop too often except off the line. So, has first step become relegated to a low agility 'band-aid' to help if your acceleration is low, or is it still a big boost for high agility guys?

Slight difference. SA are only as good as your base stats. Increase agility right now, train vision, increase catching.

yea i mean, im not looking to spend points in first step anywhere in the near future, just sort of talking about shit and seeing what people are thinking. even if first step makes it into my plans, it wouldnt be til lvl 16 or so.
So in other words i'm just looking to talk about it in general terms, not really how it would help or hurt my current build.

as a 1:1 wr I've never even considered first step.. I'll use it to raise quick cut and nothing more.
I think it's more for those 75/40 guys, to make them play on a 1:1 level

i mean thats kind of what im thinking, but last season when agility didnt matter for acceleration.... is 1:1 accelerating the same or faster than last season?

1:1 with 50 of each stat is actually immediate acceleration from what I've seen, but I'd like a little higher top speed.
that's of course after I soft cap catching

1:1 seems like immediate acceleration like Warbucks said. I think the ideal ratio is 2:1.5 it seems, but I like 1:1 a lot.

I'd assume the higher your speed is the more agility you need to get to top speed sooner. So if you have a larger gap it will be more effective, but I'd assume it can still be useful.
