i guess we can all agree on something like the following:

1st step:
get speed/vision/agility to the 2:1 "soft-cap"

2nd step:
get stamina to 40, tackling over 30 and bring strength, jumping, catching, confidence in the twenties; dumb some pts into the SA-trees

3rd step:
- get speed/vision/agility to the 3:1 soft-cap?
- get tackling and strength further up?
...

what are your thoughts?

First work vision, then agility to the second soft-cap (60) and then work speed to the second soft-cap. Also, once you get to the second soft-cap in agility and vision, it might be worth really working some of the SAs, such as Change Direction and especially Super Vision.

Unless you're really missing lots of tackles, or you really want to become a Hard Hitter (I don't - coverage FSs are the way to go), it's probably not worth getting your strength above 28-30ish and your tackling above 35ish. Training would be better spent on things like jumping and catching to help get more INTs and PDs.

Just my thoughts though

why get stamina to 40? is there something about ingame breath that i have missed? ive been at 35ish for a long time now and cant complain about energy after the game. but again...if its about ingame breath id like you to share your wisdom

for now it hasent made a difference for me to get tackling at 30 and strength at 25...even with tackling nerfed.

i will spend most of my SP for the SA tree now. change direction and super vision are - as said - my focus. and i will propably train catching for a long time. i dont consider my FS as a INTerceptor, but recently i have noticed the effect, that WR in a very tight coverage still make the catch just with higher catching skills.

along with that i will make up my mind with skill/agility i will get to the 2nd softcap. not sure about it right now. i propably sit and wait for the offensive skill positions to decide...if the keep pushing speed...i might do that too.

if you have nothing better to do than throw away points by trying to get to the 2nd soft cap, i would say for a FS get his tackling to around 40. he's the last line of defense, you can't risk something so important...

what do you want to tell us? on that play surely should have made the tackle. but the CB (lvl 17) not being able to get of the block from WR (lvl 5 CPU) is the biggest blow. After that the SS sucks. The FS not making the tackle is just a consequence.

we are talking about the 2nd and 3rd step. this FS is not even close to his 1st step.

I would like to recycle this topic for me. Where to spend my next 5 SP?

Strength: 25.32 Blocking: 14.15
Speed: 62.33 Tackling: 30.72
Agility: 51.9 Throwing: 7
Jumping: 22.74 Catching: 26.46
Stamina: 36.11 Carrying: 14.15
Vision: 58.8 Kicking: 10
Confidence: 23.24 Punting: 10

Coverage Abilities
35453
Hard Hitter Abilities
11000

According to Toddy I am somewhere between 2nd and 3rd step, right?

1st step: Agility, Speed and Vision at or above softcap. done
2nd step:
get stamina to 40 dont
tackling over 30 done
bring strength, jumping, catching, confidence in the twenties done
dumb some pts into the SA-trees done
3rd step:
get speed/vision/agility to the 3:1 soft-cap? started with speed at 53.33
get tackling and strength further up? to where? what about jumping? some say confidence?

Thank you for your time.

Jumping or confidence, imho, but I admit I am just guessing.

Get your jumping up. Helps with Pds, picks and the pass defense bar

Just FYI:

I spend my 5 SP into Super Vision, Wrap-Up Tackle and Tackling. But the team is being gutted right now. Now real prove or evidence since I get like ~70 snaps.

If you're missing tackles, next should be tackling.

Dachpappe, you should train jumping, not smart to put SPs into it when you can make fast gains by training it. JMO

3rd step in building FS: read and do 2nd step

really just get 1.speed,2.agility,3.vision,4.tackling,5.jumping,6.catching to soft cap for an FS. For an SS you do the same thing except insert soft cap of strength after softcapping vision but before softcapping tackling. Not that hard.
