1. Your catching is still kind of low to be expecting huge results.

2. Do not forget that Bort has been tweaking the code for the "WR risk" which is based off your catching skill. So if you have a much higher catching rating than you will most likely be targeted more often. More passes thrown your way = more chances at drops.

3. You are getting open much quicker than the other WRs.

I was targeted 22 times 7 catches 6 drops. When game before that (i had -6 catching) Targeted 19 times 8 catches 0 drops.

Tougher competition?

1 chance drop=lower morale
slightly lower morale=another fluke drop, even lower morale

etc

my speculation

Could it just be that you had a bad game? No that couldnt be it, there MUST be something wrong with catching.

By your logic since you didnt drop any balls you should have just added those points to something else because your catching was perfect anyway.

Could someone please list in order what the top skills for catching the ball are? It seems like no one can agree on what the best course of action is. My problem is that my level 8 receiver has 3 catches, 2 TD's, 5 drops and a bunch of incomplete passes that were tossed his way. I need some consistent catching. I won't list my build, but I will say that my agility needs to be higher as well as my catching, but my catching is within a few points of our #1 WR who has no drops and a bunch more catches.

So which attributes do I want to max out first in order to reduce drops and incompletions? Agility or Catching? Then what?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Nope, don't buy it. I'm within 5 points in vision from my #1 and #2 WRs. I'm thinking is has to be agility? That's the only thing the other WR's are up on me by at least 20 points. Or does a level 12 have more of a chance to catch the ball than a level 8 with everything else being equal?

QBs designate favored targets, this gives them more throws.
Your stamina may be too low to get enough plays, therefor less catches. There are many things.

Agility helps you turn and face the ball. Vision helps you see the ball sooner and make that turn. Speed helps you get open, provided you have enough agility. Catching and confidence keep you from dropping balls when they hit your hands. Lastly stamina keeps you playing at a high level.

Thanks Alex! Guess I just keep pumping points in agility and see if that fixes things.

Nice post Alex.
And I'm assuming there becomes a point in time where Str also becomes a factor.
I have a LVL 18 and haven't touched str, 9, am guessing I will need to address it at some point and probably train it.
Working other things right now though and think I can hold off.

Thanks!

Actually I see a difference from last year with higher strength. Breaking a few tackles, helping my yards after catch and so on. Last season mine was at 9 too, now it's trained near 20.
