I just wanted to stop by and say "hello" and to also say "thanks" for some kind words coming out of this forum
about the Java Monkeys. Especially from Ethaan in his Western Ratings thread.

After being on the waiting list forever to purchase a team, I woke up one morning and found I had bought the former
PECOTA All-Stars. A team gutted prior to the end of last season.

I inherited 5 human players (4 who's contract expired Day 1 and didn't return) and nothing but CPUs.
A tub of cash. And a team chemistry grace period.

While getting our brains beat out score-wise, I feel we've come a long way in a very short amount of time.

And encouraging comments here help a lot.

Me?
I am Screaming Weasel. Call me Wease.
I am older than dirt (won't say HOW old) but, yea, dirt.
Let's just say that the first game I ever saw was the New York Giants on a B&W Motorola TV set with rabbit ears.
Y. A. Tittle was the QB.

I have seen every Super Bowl (since before it was called the "Super Bowl").
I have 18 years Fantasy Football experience as player, owner and league commissioner - since 1990.

So, again, "thanks" and "hello".

I see it took 21 minutes for this thread to get off track.
Anyway - "hello and thanks".

Why would I even bother spelling that QB's name, let alone properly?

Maybe if you had mentioned a QB worth mentioning, I'd be more inclined to follow your line of logic.

That's right: burn.

P.S. edit: so no one gets any feathers ruffled, Xeef is my team's owner.

Yeah, as someone who LIVES in Canton, Ohio, I'm well-versed in who is currently in the Hall of Fame. As someone who has worked numerous induction ceremonies, I'm even more well-versed in who has a bust there.

For future reference, of course.

Also: a 'tittle' is a dot.

Wow, man! Small world.
And a post NOT discussing Y.A. Tittle.

What's your ID at Homey's Fan Base?

well I give you mad props when you get that team competitive. Its buttload of recruiting work on a regular team as it is; but to get one to be competitive in this fierce league is quite the feat. I've been here for 3 seasons and each and every game is still tough.

well you've gone a job job at Java... hopefully not too good before next game (but after the Tigers game, I'll resume rooting for you to win...)
