Not bad for a level 13. I'd work on speed a bit more though, 40+ speed is when I noticed a big difference in how well I blocked.

It really depends on your current level. My level 26 FB has ~75 str, 50 spd, 35 agi, 45 blk and 40 vis. I have 15 pancakes so far, after 3 games (had 39 last season). The past 4 levels I've been working on agility and vision. I'm going to have all my primary stats to the soft cap by level 30 (str, blk, spd and agi... vision will take another level or two). Then again, I'm not really a blocking FB, I'm more balanced than anything (with a slight tilt towards blocking).

Speed is pretty important for getting to your blocks though. Agility isn't huge for a lead blocker, so you can survive with it not being very high. It's helpful but not a necessity. I prefer strength over blocking, because it helps when running the ball and on the strong arm SA, blocking helps on the pancake SA... I guess you can work on both to maximize your blocking ability.

So my advice is to cap strength and get speed over 40, at this particular point and time. Once there, you can start to spread the love and get other stats up some. That or just pump up blocking to match strength, with your scraps going to vision and agility). Also start training confidence a little more, you'll want it to at least 20, sometime in the future IMHO (don't spend points on it though).

i would say that blocking is more important than strength. What good is being strong if u cant block...they are equally important, but if i had to say one or the other, id get blocking up first.

Being strong means nothing if you dont know how to block....i look at it as blocking is fundemental technique, footwork, etc ...while strength is just brute strength. Strength is great if you are a rushing FB as you can break a lot of tackles. Depends on what you want to do with yuor build.

IMO, Speed Vision and Blocking are your 3 primary skills, but its hard to be a solid fullback just focusing on a few aspects of the game because we have so much to worry about.

I think you're speaking from ideals, not experience. No doubt blocking is important, but it doesn't have to be extremely high to be an effective FB. As long as you possess a decent strength, you should be able to lay the wood on LBs and DBs or help double team DL.

FBs are there to open holes, blocking doesn't do this, based on my observations of the game. Strength does it quite well though. I guess the easiest way to explain it would be... strength is your offensive blocking capability and blocking is your defensive blocking capability. Strength is used to drive back defenders, while blocking is used to prevent your player from being beaten.

As a purely blocking FB, you can build yourself similar to an offensive lineman (high strength and blocking). Although as a balanced or rushing FB, you have to make sacrifices in certain areas... I think blocking makes the most sense. Since strength benefits both rushing and blocking. That and you won't often be asked to pass block, where the blocking stat is more important than strength.

My build is doing quite well, I've been at the top of the FBs in my league the past two seasons and this current season doesn't seem to be any different.
