Awesomeville, USA (AP): Uh oh! Is what most of the league seems to be thinking after the Bearphins last game against the Rebels. It seems that the Bearphins have found out what was wrong in the first game they played where they only beat the Night Trippers by 41. They corrected that problem and came back to beat a better Rebels team by 55 points. There is no doubt that this game was tough because even in the predictions the Bearphins were only thought to win by 14 points.
With the Bearphins new found offensive power, come their improved defense as well. A 39 ranked Rebels team only managed 7 points, while a less than stellar NO team was shut out. So far it seems that CB Crusher McNasty has been the defensive MVP with 2 ints in as many weeks, with one being taken back for a TD. Other great pick ups they have had come in CB/KR Ree Turner, who has already taken back a kick for a TD, and NT The Freezer, who in just 2 weeks has managed 8 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 TFL, 1 FR, and 2 hurries.
Many also believe that the Bearphins posses the best O-line in the league as well. This group possesses amazing depth and seem to rotate in and out more than any other line, with out missing a beat. The RB core is also revamped with a brand new second RB Shut Yo Mouth, who replaces a very fumble prone Walter Payton III as the 2nd RB behind the always talented and productive Los Yoyo. Both of these RBs have been impressive this year running for a combined 295 yards and 6 total TDs in just 2 games. And the 2 probowl Recievers, Rob Halford and Marcus Plouzek aren't bad either. With those two probowlers come the addition of Adrian Michels, a very talented WR who was brought in to back up both the 1 and 2 WR spots. These three have combined for an incredible 471 yards and 4 TDs so far. Derek Styles, the Bearphins season 3 probowl TE hasn't show his probowl form as of late, only hauling in 8 passes for 74 yards, but look for that to change, as the Bearphins love to spread the ball arond to everyone in their system.
And then you have the QuarterBack. If there is nothing else you can say about the Bearphins, it is that they have the best QB in the league. Awesome Lee has been the most consistent QB in BBB12 over the past 2 seasons and I wouldn't look for that to change much this year. Already he has taken his spot near the top of the most yards and TDs list, behind a QB who's stats all came from one game against the worst team in the league. I'd look for Lee to secure his spot at the top within the next 2-3 weeks.
The Bearphins have a bit tougher schedule to start the season this year than they had last season. This is not to say it will not be difficult. 10 Yard Fight is the first of a 3 game stretch of teams who have a chance against them, however I wouldn't look for any of them to win. Then the Bearphins get a cupcake game right before preparing for a difficult game against the Outbreak. This one should be interesting. After that is the Falcoons, which will easily be looked pass to get ready for the Vulcans, another team who has a good shot at spoiling an undefeated season for the Bearphins. After the Vulcans, comes 3 games that shouldn't be to difficult. Then 2 cupcake games before the Bearphins most difficult game of the season, The New Jersey Blaze. If you look at their roster it looks easy, however this team possesses an uncanny ability to call a game right and set up the perfect game plan. This will be the Game of the Year in BBB12 this season. After that it is an easy Toxins team before the Playoffs.
A lot of people don't like the Bearphins, or their owner because of his arrogant ways, however when you are then best, it is hard to control talking about it. In my personal opinion, this season will be a breeze with the exception of 3 teams, the Outbreak, the Vulcans, and the Blaze. All in all, this should be an undefeated, 16-0 season for the Awesomeville Bearphins.
