Hey all!

I just joined this league, after MUCH deliberation as to my new team, I have joined the Minnesota Marauders. A lot of teams put in bids for me however, and during the negotiation process, I asked them what their predictions for the upcoming Pro season would be.

So, now I will publish the predictions based on what your fellow owners and GM's felt during the offseason. We can compare them to the current standings, or more usefully, compare them to the end of season standings

That's interesting, a blind process of power ranking.

I think the numbers pretty much sum it up. In the East, there's a handful of teams that people seem to generally think are on top and then a pretty big dropoff, while in the West, the highest number is 3.4, which means there were quite a few different opinions of who are actually #1 and the dropoff doesn't happen until 9th place. And really, 9-11 are still really close.

Yea, hopefully this offseason I can get more opinions and really make it interesting

hmmm interesting - we could add these people to the weekly Power Rankings committee and then it would actually be closer to a committee LOL

This was from the preseason, though, so they're not as accurate anymore.

That is why I said "if we could add these people" and not "if we added these predictions"... the rankings obviously COULD change on a weekly basis.

Although to be honest, I did my Power Rankings using this criteria: If these two teams met in the playoffs (meaning both fully boosted) who do I think would win head's up. Simple as that. Utilizing this criteria, which is obviously largely opinion-based of course, I don't expect a ton of fluctuation in my rankings. Some teams will move up or down a bit, but I am looking at team more than current record...

Btw, am I the only one who is really wondering if this guy didn't just create this post solely for the purpose of including "A lot of teams put in bids for me" to make himself sound like a big shot FA acquisition? LOL

Because I know we didn't contact him, so why would he care how outsiders view our team in the scope of USA Pro? Wouldn't he only care about the teams that were inquiring? I know I probably would...

Sweet, I'm actually amazed the Marauders came in 9th since most teams had no idea how many new faces were on the team!

Nice to meet you too.

I included that to justify the rankings in such that there were a lot of people contributing to them, not just one persons opinion...

I thought that part was fairly obvious really

All wrong. No way GSA is sixth.

We're closer to 26th. You know, we suck but not enough to get the sweet bliss of relegation.

But, overall, not bad for a preseason ranking.
