Just a heads up and I donno if this has been mentioned. In previous seasons a head fake resulted in your player casting a freeze spell on a player 4 yards away. It now appears that pulling off the headfake move results in a missed tackle and slows your player down more.

Part of the nerf to tea baggins type stuff which everyone complained about I assume. If you beleive this is incorrect let me know, but pretty close to certain that I'm correct.

Now it'll be a little bit harder to tell if your pulling off a head fake SA or simply got lucky and broke a tackle, and will result in more elusive back broken tackles....

Carrying is why elusives are getting more broken tackles...Ive seen a head fakes with to Broken tackles so I do not know if this is correct

So, in other words. Nobody knows, or has ever known exactly which SA's are being used on any given play or what triggers them to be activated. Bort must just sit back and laugh his ass off when he reads all these threads.

Stolen from another thread in this forum. Look at this run:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=101884&pbp_id=1161716

Player build:
Current Attributes:
Strength: 11.33 Blocking: 10.2
Speed: 17.33 Tackling: 10
Agility: 20.64 Throwing: 10.2
Jumping: 10.2 Catching: 10.2
Stamina: 10.2 Carrying: 12.33
Vision: 10.33 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 11.33 Punting: 9
4 quick cut, 6 head fake

If you look at other test head-fake RBs they have had very similar plays in recent games this season. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=618953
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=81048

To simply attribute the broken tackles to something like strength or carrying is extremely short-sighted.

I made this thread to give RBs a heads up for when watching their own player on replays. I didn't make it because I was like "roflcopter, my elusive HB is breaking tackles, it must be headfake, lolzers"...

Because it makes a lot more sense to attribute a level 2 RB plowing through level 1 defenders to a wicked head fake, right?

plus there was someone on these boards that made a level HB and put all SP into carrying and he broke mad tackles his first game.

The level 2 RB has less speed/agility/carrying/strength then almost any level 1 RB, and seeing multiple missed tackles is something you'd never see in a RB fashioning 11 strength and 12 carrying alone. Are you serious buddy?

A level 2 RB has 5 more SP's than a level 1 player, but that level 2 back has 14 SP's spent in head fake. If head fake does not result in missed tackles, your telling me that the worst tackle breaking RB in GLB history (who has 9 less skill points in useful things then his level 1 opponents) somehow made multiple guys miss on a 40+ yard TD run.

So ya, it does make alot more sense that a level 2 RB used a wicked headfake to make those runs. And yes, to ignore this is extremely short sighted.

Feel free to believe whatever you want. I've seen so many similar threads that I'm fully convinced there isn't a person on this game who really knows what's going on. I just can't take any experiment involving level one and two guys surrounded by computer players very seriously. If you have a high level RB who's a specialist, and his specialty is dominating equal level opposition, I'd be interested. Until then...

...carry on.

Fair enough buddy. This isn't a thread where I'm saying headfake rocks, as it definitely has some problems vs. high level defenders. I'm just saying it appears that successful headfake moves now involved a missed tackle in the replay is all.

You are basing this off of a RB with 20 Agility?

Yeah, that's not going to work.

High headfake with low agility has been working for low level headfake test RBs since last season my friend, so its nothing new.

Unless someone can come up with an explanation for this and other headfake RBs having runs where they break multiple tackles, or unless someone can show me some replays where RBs do the old mind-fuck headfake, I am pretty positive that I'm correct here.

Responses like "his agility is too low" or "he did it with strength/carrying" really doesn't argue anything, since they only reinforce the fact that he has no other way to break tackles aside from head fake. Other headfake RBs that I've listed in the OP have had similar runs, so I'm not simply basing this off of 1 fella....

I disagree, a head fake would have a defender go a different direction than you, so that you would run by their tackling radius. If you look at the replay, they all did attempt to tackle you - just failed. Just because you have low tackle breaking stats doesn't mean you can't be lucky, or it could also easily be that the defenders were also low in stats that go into the tackle breaking rolls.

How about this, last season in 3 games my head faker didn't have any broken tackles, this season against human controlled teams he's had 10 broken tackles in 4 games.
