it can change depending on the defense
for the team that my SS is on, if it's a run play the SS will generally get there before the FS. if it's a pass play, the SS will normally freak out about the TE and the FS will drop back like another CB (which is why on run plays he is late). so basically the SS is more run and the FS more pass

Which is why SS's need to be stronger and FS's need to be faster.

FS's---Drop back and cover the pass.
