I noticed that several WEPL games (including ours) had issues with the run game and tons of TFL. This doesn't seem right to me so I posted in the Bugs forum. Feel free to voice your support.

It's not just the run game. I've been talking with Shorteous about this, and I honestly see this season as being completely ruled by the defense. The DC has a ton of control of what the defense does now, while the offense still doesn't have much at all. We can't set formations or specific run patterns.(You CAN, but not really, you'll notice they don't follow them much.)

Bort was an idiot to activate both AI's with such massive differences in them.

we barely run as it is, so everything seems fine on our end. For todays game we set over 70% run just because we were playing AWC and know they have a great run Defense, so wanted to see if we could run at all against them...and we couldnt.

Running game is fine. We've run for almost 670 yards in the 2 scrimmage games.

Uh, no offense, but you played 2 pretty bad teams. The Aggies are going to be your first real test.

I think the Pimps run game will be very effective once the season starts and our OL boosts. all of our top 6 or 7 OL have VERY good builds, and we have always been good at running behind them.

btw, i think we gave up 0 sacks last season. Our OL is our heartbeat.

Cajik wouldn't know anything about being effective in AAA...

u cant really talk down about AAA. I mean look what there teams did in the PROs last season..pretty damn good in my book, and i dont expect anything less from the new AAA teams in PRO

There were some bugs still left over in todays sims, which stem from some tinkering to the DLine pathing and the OLine interior assignments.

basically the NT/DT were getting penetration 100% of the time on a certain play.
teams that run that play a little more often were more effected.

Its being resolved as we speak I believe.

I dont see a problem at all with the Defense AI being more involved than the Offense AI at this stage (Assuming it will be evened out eventually)

The Defense Always reacts to the Offense, and thats how the playbooks work right now.

But what doesnt fill me with joy is that now the DEfensive Players have advantages over the Offensive players in one on ones, and they have the ability to script better designed plays and ignore the buggy ones.

The trade off I guess is that more tackles are being broken, so just because their is Dline pressure on the Back, he wont always be brought down.

Problem is there really are not many poor builds in WEPL, so most of us are making a high % of tackles, and certainly the NT/DT are.

Just look at todays scorelines, and the absence of any points.

Yes, the absence of points is the concern. I think it's ridiculous that defense can adjust to the offensive formation, when the offense can't even set that formation themselves. I want to be able to have my team line up in I-formation when I want to, just as the defense can line up just as they want to when I call it. Sometimes you want to line up with two TEs on 3rd and 1 and throw it. Perhaps occasionally run the ball from shotgun? I have no control at all right now, do you see why I think it's unfair?

I would like to be able to choose routes too, but that's not nearly as critical right now.
