Do you guys agree with tpat's guide that says a lvl 20 DL should have 43 stamina? Just curious to see how many of you guys really think you need that much stamina.

I have a DT with 38, which is more than high enough IMO. I get the majority of my sacks anf hurries later in the game after I have worn down the starting and back-up OG's. But I am also HIGHLY strength based.

MY DE's both have around 30, and they don't suck any worse at the end of games than they do at the begining. But like I have said before, go somewhere else for DE advice, neither of mine are any good.

Yeah I had a ton this year, but I reorganized my equipment, so I'm hoping I don't wear down now. I'm also trying to see if I need to put points into it this year.

A DL with 80 STR can get by on 25 stamina.
A DL with 60 STR needs around 35.

My level 24 DE has 25ish. He has less than 30 strength and always plays on hard intensity. No problems so far.

With your high agility and speed though, your DE probablly doesnt battle back and forth with Olineman as much which reuces the amount of energy used. My level 15 DT gets by with 25 stamina and most of his stats are late in games. He does have 75 strength though.

I pumped my stam up during that brief time a season or two ago when DTs were getting dead tired. I kinda over did it but at least I can play on hard for 50+ plays and not have trouble with energy. Yea I over did it that much.

Yeah I didn't think you need 43 at lvl 20. Maybe we'll need 43 stamina at lvl 30ish.

Playing on hard is a 10% bonus to attributes so by playing on hard its actually a bonus to stamina. My level 15 DT can play 50+ plays and be fine with energy but thats because of his high strength.

So strength actually helps with energy loss? I never have heard that!

1. Those stamina guides were originally created in season 1, when it took 85 plays to get max xp and some teams only had CPU backups and were playing starters on ST as well as offense/defense.

2. Typically NTs need more stamina than 3-gap DT's who need more stamina than DEs.

3. Higher strength and agility both reduce the amount of stamina you need.

#1 is a good point. I had never heard about strength and agility reducing energy loss, so that's helpful. Thanks for the info guys.
