So since there's now threads up on most of my teams, other than the Hustlers, complaining about how there's nothing to do during the off-season, I figure some of you guys who aren't in the recruiting game now (those who are, I imagine, are crossing their fingers for a few more days of off-season) are looking for things to do.
So, without further ado, I'll give you all a mini-power rankings challenge.
What team in the West/East/Overall do you think have the #1 and #2 (picking top 2 from each so 1 or 2 teams don't ever get all the mentions) best:
Passing Game? (QB/WRs/TE combo)
Rushing Game? (HBs+FBs)
Blocking? (Offensive Line+FBs+TEs)
Defensive Line?
Linebacker Corps?
DBs?
Scariest Pass Rush?
Special Teams?
Bonus points if you pick a slightly unconventional choice instead of going purely by average levels and tell us why that's the team with that element you'd least like to face.
Example:
In the East last season, I'd have picked NY and Vice City for passing games. N.B. had a great one, and lots of people had great QBs - Akron could light up a scoreboard... but you knew when you saw NY or the Mambas that your DBs were going to a track meet, and there was nothing you could do about it.
If you could stop it, you had every chance. If you couldn't, you could dial up the 'L' right there.
So East: 1. NY Strikers, 2. Vice City Mambas
Then I'd pick west, and then go overall.
Sure, time consuming, but gives people something to pass the time, I'd love to see what people think, and it never hurts to get some of that scouting in.
