I ask because I'm at a crossroads. I have a choice coming up here pretty soon.

Start getting my kicking to 80 OR get my VIS/STR to the softcaps.

I'm currently at 67 KICK/53 CONF with 30 STR and 30 VIS.

How much of an impact does VIS/STR really make? Anyone know?

strength actually makes a huge difference- it allows for longer kickoffs and longer FGs. Bort said vision would be more important to everyone, so I would first get strength up and then vision to the soft caps.

Defiantly vision first

The single most important thing a kicker can do to help his team early on is getting strength/big boot high enough to make the kickoffs long enough to result in touchbacks regularly. I'm guessing all the good kickers know this and people don't mention it much since it's such an advantage.

Kickoffs are run back much further on average in GLB than in the NFL so a touchback is incredibly preferable to letting them run the ball back. If your teams kicker is kicking touchbacks and the other teams kicker is not that's a 20-30 yard field position advantage for your team on every single kick.

With the changes coming to kicking this coming season it will be hard for anyone to give you the right answer right now. However, kicking, strength, and vision will always be helpful to any kicker.

AgentTBC makes a good point about touchbacks, so I would take his advice and get your strength to the soft cap...

I think you should start doing you strength and maybe train vision.
