From What I was already reading the Dt/Nt are going to be in a bind. They Boosted the O-line. Unless Agility off sets that we as Dt's are going to be bring the syrup to all those Pancakes.

How many Big players are going to be nerfed ? By that I mean total overhaul of their players?

DT's are not suppose to be stat hounds (I Know) but I would Like my player effective.

RB got boosted , Run Block for the O-line got boosted.
I know allot of DT's have already been working on vision so that may not hit us as hard as the O-line guys that Straight boosted Strength and Blocking : at every thing else expense.
Tell me What you think.

It's lame...It's hard enough to be effective as a D lineman and they go and upgrade the run blocking...Seriously Bort???

If you look at the higher up lvl running games, if you have a solid D you can set everyone to pass rush and still stop the run. I think thats what they are trying to change.

But we won't be able to tell how different everything is going to be until we see how the agility update changes the game.

We will see how it goes but the way it reads to me is the OL will pretty much dominate unless you have a better DT than your opponent. This is kinda bad for anyone going to 3-4 because the NT will no way be able to plug the holes like he should be able to with the OL upgrades. Also DE who are going 3-4 will need to gear more towards run stopping or they will get blasted.

Just wait and see, but I have a feeling its gonna get ugly and some RB are gonna pop off huge numbers until they realise.

One of my teams went with 100% pass defense almost all season and we won the championship shutting down top offenses, run or pass.

I know I was just saying they probablly should have bumped up run blocking because most teams went with a passing team because its so much easier.

On the other hand I have a team the pretty much dominated my league that was already run based. One of the top 5 defenses in my league played them 100% run and still got run over. Well designed power running teams are going to put up ridiculous numbers this season.

I agree. My team was at about a 2 level deficit against many teams and we had our power running game going in the 2nd 1/2 of the season with an average at best C, and a HB that already had over 40 carrying. I can't wait to see what our running game looks like this season.

It wasn't rushing in general that was horrible though. It was outside rushing and teams using speed/elusive backs largely because the pulling G code was hosed. That is what needed to be fixed, not giving O-linemen a bonus on interior blocking.
