Are you guys aware that that African and Canadian AA teams have higher expected ticket prices by default than USA BBB? There is no one in most African leagues that could hang with the WORST team in our conference, yet they are entitled to more revenue?

If you are going to try to tell me that they are AA and thats a higher league in the structure, I'm going to have a problem with that. Seriously, if you want to get literal with higher structure meaning better teams, I have to get literal and say the people of Africa make, what, 150 dollars a year? how can they afford tickets priced higher than ours?

Im sorry, but I shouldn't have to go 15-1 to be able to price my tickets where a beginning AA Canada or Africa team can price theirs. I bought into BBB because THATS THE ONLY TEAMS THAT WERE AVAILABLE. Why would younger teams automatically get more money? This needs to be fixed.

VERY interesting! I'd mention that to Bort and the rest of the GLB crew. I'll check that out myself. Nice find!

To be fair just because people in Africa dont earn a lot, why should the players who are desperate for a team and get put in Africa suffer?

On the players being worse, well most people want to play in USA, Canadian or European leagues and so African teams get overlooked

dude, that part was the JOKE part of the post. the meat is in the fact that they dont have the expenses we do, but have more revenue by default. I could have made that more clear.

But I can turn this around on you, why should the people who were desperate to get a team when the USA teams came out suffer just because thats what they could buy at that time?

for only 27 cents a day, you could provide this starving child with 215 dollar club seats to a football game. (again, thats a joke)

Actually, I did the math, I was mistakenly thinking that A had a much bigger advantage than they do. 3$*20000*8=480,000 per year. I was thinking the difference was more like 10 per ticket, which I just got confused about.

BBB is a lower level league than what they are in. We should make less cash.

Lower level only by pyramid status.

Would you pay more to see a NCAA football game, or a CFL game?

I'm guessing most of us would pay more to see the NCAA, despite it not being a "professional" league like the CFL. But it's a lower level league, so shouldn't the CFL make more money?

Something to think about...

Exactly, the pyramid is all that matters. Once the pyramid gets filled out, it will all be equal. BBB is lower level. Region is just a name. They may be newer teams, but it won't matter after 10 seasons when they are declining. Face the music, we are the bottom of the chain.

NCAA tickets are sometimes more expensive than NFL tickets- your point makes no sense.

Money means very little at this point anyway. As long as you were smart enough to invest in a stadium early, you should have plenty of cash. It's only $3/seat, really isn't that much.

Tom is correct.

A BBB league in USA is equal to a BBB league in Eastern Europe, and they should all have the same expected prices.

An A league is above the BBB league in the pyramid and therefore can set higher prices.

It doesn't matter the level of the competition, because of the desire to have multiple equal pyramids.

After reading these posts, I have to say that Tom is right. We knew what we were getting into when we joined the bottom-feeding BBB League. The reason why is because of the fact that most people want to make it to the elite USA Pro League. You can't do that in any other league. Yes, our BBB teams would probably crush most other leagues in other areas of the world. That's just the way it goes. Remember, the ticket prices are only EXPECTED ticket prices. There's plenty of BBB teams out there that were able to sell $48 seats for over $100 and still sell out of tickets for the season. My team, despite going 3-13 was able to sell out our tickets at $55 a pop. The $95 seats went for $120. Anyone who doesn't sell all of their tickets in a season isn't paying enough attention.
