OK lets kick this off early.

What do we want to see on the Forums for season 4?

I would like to see the Prediction threads increase in popularity.

I hope someone will continue to produce the Sacred Spreadsheet for each game?

Also a Game 16 Inter-Conference Rivalry thread.
Get all teams to agree to play hard in at least Game 16, and 1 Scrimmage game?
Scrimmage games would give the better overall picture of the leagues strengths, as it matches up similar teams, but these games are always played for fun, and I am as guilty as anyone of that. But maybe we can just agree to play the first scrimmage game seriously?

For my part, I will be posting a WEPL Power Rankings again Next Season, and I want it to be a bit more of a involved process.

So I want to do a survey Power Rankings every 4 Games.

Each team gets one vote to rank the teams in their Conference.

I'll compile the Rankings and do a write up for each team, anyone who wants to help can.

What else do you want to see on here?

Have you read Fatdaddycash´s (meatballs owner) prediction threads for WE AAA 1 Zeta? Something tells me you haven´t. He will give us the best prediction articles in all of GLB.

FDC's predictions are a great read. Hopefully he'll be doing them for the WEPL next season. Never shows any bias and is usually spot on with his predictions.

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys.

I fully plan on doing a weekly prediction thread -- but I don't want to step on any toes of guys who have been doing it longer. Plus, it will take me a few games to really get up to speed with the teams I don't know from AAA.

I plan on changing up the threads a bit. I was planning including more highlights (with links) as well as a player of the week (Jdupuy3 read my mind). I would also love to get quotes from teams or players into the reviews. I managed to get a couple this season, but not enough to make it a lasting feature.

Other ideas I've had (but don't have time to do):

1. Quarter Season Reports: Originally this year I planned on doing one of these every 4 games, complete with a list of team MVP, team Goat and players to watch. I did the first one after Week 4 and it wound up being over 10 pages. It's a good idea and was fun to do, but to compile that plus the game-by-game prediction threads just became too much.

2. More involved Pro Bowl and Award threads: We had great success in Zeta this season with our award and Pro Bowl selections by making it a longer, more democratic process. We opened it up to all players to vote (not just one per team), the thinking being that in real sports there are always 3 ballots: Fans, Players, Coaches. I know the fear is that everyone will just vote for their own players, but we found that not to be the case at all. I got over 25 ballots and the results were well balanced and thought out. Starting the voting around Week 8, with a thread tracking the progress and reminding people to vote will help get the best, most fair results.

Just my two cents.

Read most of them, but dont underestimate the added workload both the Pro League and the Advanced AI will add to his workload.

Also no offense, but I like to see more people willing to participate than just a few faces dominating the boards.

I hope that The Daddy will bring his skills to the WEPL, but I also hope some of the others who enjoy doing it continue to do so, for the benefit of a lively forum.

EDIT: Posted before Daddy's post appeared, good to hear you want to be that involved.

I have tried to get the highlights sent to me via PM, etc but the same teams dont respond, and it takes a long old time searching for all the plays that are crucial and worthy of the replay.

If all the people do what they say they will in PMs to me, then I should have plenty of time to go searching for both headline plays and 'Typical' plays that are more indicative of the games.

Could always bring the WEPL tipping back for next season, that was a good feature in season 2.

If anyone wants to do it, I can help them out.
Easiest way to do it is once fixtures come out, take the long process of doing them in word all at once.

Biggest problem is getting the motivation to enter the results into a spreadsheet every two days then, since everyone's results need to be tallied up (takes a minute each), double checked (Errors do happen - Aka You think the Fighting Texas Aggies win when it was the other Aggies Wrecking Crew team win) then record it. Find an appropriate format in th spreadsheet and submit it as a spreadsheet - NEVER do it as a table in the GLB forum, it will never work.

------------

Anyway, I would love to see power rankings done quiet often, every four weeks for everyone (and one in week 15 for fun) and maybe the top ten every week - easy enough to do.

More articles in WEPL Weekly, everyone enjoys reading them and trust me, if you want to make a rivalry work, get one of your characters to write an article based on the other team.

I would like to see some role play introduced into WEPL - I've been thinking of just experimenting with a bar so players, agents and owners alike can roleplay in there, talk their mouths off and create rivalries. - I would love to hear some opinions about that.

Also Mike, would fantasy football be ready to do in season four?

I can't speak for ZZ, but I'm going to continue with the prediction spreadsheet for next season. It will be good if he does it too though, that way we'll always have someone who can post it each week.

I'm also going to keep doing the interconference stuff.....I don't care if nobody takes it seriously, it's the only way to have any objective basis for saying one conference is better than the other.
