hey, i was getting ready to set up a pro bowl online poll when i saw your PB threads.. might make it easier to tally votes, and to vote in general for that matter... the only thing i haven't figured out how to address was the potential for cheating, ie (multiple votes by same person)...

heres a sample i was playing with to get a feel for how it might look and work...

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=0Q_2bVYTi0L27CybEG0byjoA_3d_3d

there are some other sites i found that i like better with some extra features, but they either cost money or more importantly they dont have a "forced ranking" option...

just a thought... up to you guys. would take a little time to set it all up with th fairly obvious candidates, but i dont think it would be worth adding all possible players to the survey.... or maybe we go with your voting thread to create the initial pro bowl rosters, then do a league "All-Pro Team" online survey? either way..

I like the idea of an online poll. I don't know if we have enough time this season to set it up correctly. Also as you pointed out, cheating could occur. I was thinking about something similar, but never made any public comments. Good work on the research. Maybe we could have owners submit a list of pro bowl candidates off their team and have them added to the poll.

most of these online polls use cookies in an attempt to allow only one poll (per computer)... but thats pretty easy to circumvent. it also tracks IP address but that also is only a minor deterrent... the last question to the poll could be an agent name from your team, and that could work... maybe we just lay down the law and suggest that anyone caught ballot stuffing would lose their entire teams agent voting submissions or something harsh like that...?

John Paul-York needs to be on the West PB team.
