I was going for a MLB here, but need some long term building advice if any of you care to offer some.

Well MLB need a ton of vision in my opinion. Vision and Agility are the most important, then strength, just my thoughts.

Work on getting tackling, vision and confidence higher.

The speed is too high for a MLB, a MLB needs Vision, Agility, and Strength more than Speed

Looks to be in good shape for a level 8. Suggest working on Vision and Agility as mentioned before.

Perfectttttt! MLBs should not cover as much ground. And with the new Defensive Play calling DCs have been given the opportunity to toy around with, MLBs should NOT be blitzing as much as they used to.

Now, in my opinion, a MLB needs to be a AGI and VIS monster. Also, he needs to have some very good STR to lay some blows on ball carriers coming up the middle. He also needs that STR to fight off blocks in pursuit to the HB/FB.

Dude...MLB blitzing is an essential to MOST defenses with 3 LB backs. It helps the run stuff, generates regular pass pressure, at little to no expense due to the lack of cross field routes in the game.

This is true with the current offensive playbook. MLB's are the safest blitzers because they have little role in pass D unless in a nickel situation. With new offensive plays being added, who knows. I'd still agree with the others that have suggested VIS and AGI before other attributes, but SPD, STR, and TAC have to factor in at some point and CON will also come into play. You are probably going to get 7 levels of growth in season 4, I'd stick with building the most important attributes, chipping away at the secondaries, and then start looking at your SA's.

For blitzing, Agility and Jumping will get you to the QB better than Speed
Agility gets you the quick initial burst inside, speed is more of an ability needed in open space
And jumping allows you to dive at the QB, giving you the quick finishing burst to get to the QB

Speed will help you if you drop back into pass coverage, where there is a lot of open field, or if you are pursuing a runningback running to the outside (or pursuing a scrambling QB who's left the pocket), but for a tracking down a QB in the pocket or filling a hole between the tackles, speed isn't needed too much.

What?! Jumping? I've never heard that before. That last dive isn't really going to help you out too much. Blitzing is all about your start. Bad jump, you're getting blocked easily. Good jump, you have a better chance of getting to the QB. And your start all begins with AGI..

AGI is the most important stat for pass coverage LBs. Yes they have to work in space, but if you don't have that Change of Direction skill to stay with receivers and backs, you will get juked outta your jogstrap on cuts. AGI is what makes you stay with guys on every one of their cuts.

So all in all, AGI is a KEY stat in being a LB.
