My plan is to make a running back where speed and agility are nearly identical, and strength would not be far behind. He would also have great vision. It might take a while for the results to show, but I think it would be effective. Thoughts?

Don't balance him early. Jack up your favorite skills to make an effective RB, then balance him later.

I am getting there, too. I wasted lots of points on specials early, but they are starting to pay off now.

I started as a power back for about half a season, tried to switch to Elusive for about 3/4 of a season, and ended up going balanced. Once I got the speed agility strength all around the same level, it started paying off.
