I figured since I haven't been doing power rankings I owed everyone this. Also, official announcement, i'm going to be stepping down as owner of the Comets and selling my team. #1 San Diego Marauders vs #8 Rocky Mountain Rampage
When these two teams faced in the regular season it was a 41-3 blowout win for San Diego. To be honest I don’t see much changing tomorrow night. If you look at the seemingly meaningless ratings page, Rocky Mountain is shown as the better team. Did they boost? In the end it comes down to gameplanning and the San Diego staff has shown they are one of the best in the game

#4 Omaha Dogs vs #5 Reno 911
When the season first started it looked like Reno was one of the top 3 teams in the West. They’ve sort’ve fallen off as of late and both Albuquerque and Omaha have shown that they really are two top tier teams. Does Reno have enough to pull off the upset?

#2 Albuquerque Mustangs vs #7 Chattanooga Quarantine
Albuquerque is the best team in the West at the moment, they may have more losses than San Diego but they are the only team that has beaten them. I like this Quarantine squad but they got unlucky with their 1st round draw and I just don’t see them giving Albuquerque a run.

#3 Anchorage Seawolves vs #6 Hyborian Divine Messengers
After their fast start I don’t think many people expected Anchorage to end up with the 3rd seed. I believe I had Hyborian ranked number 2 at the beginning so this is a matchup of my western preseason 1 and 2. Anchorage is definitely the favorite going into this game, but Hyborian just pulled off an upset against a very very strong Memphis team. Can they get it done against Anchorage?

If there was ever a Cinderella story, this is it. The mighty Assassins look unbeatable, and the Grizzlies were overlooked going into the season. They got into the playoffs by beating some very good teams like Tampa and Schenectady and now must face off against the current favorites to win the league title.
Prediction: Akron 44 Klamath 3
#4 Memphis Ghetto Dawgs vs #5 North Carolina Lighthouses
North Carolina is another team that rebounded from a tough season last year, they went all the way up to the fifth seed. Memphis was apart of some big upsets in the playoffs last year on their way to the conference finals. Both teams have been strong this year and this one should be interesting
Prediction: Memphis 37 North Carolina 13
#2 Alpine Golfers vs #7 New Orleans Eagles
When your only loss is to the undefeated Assassins you know your in good shape. The Eagles have had a good season and look to make some noise in the playoffs, Alpine has all-world DE Julius Dee who just might be the league DPOTY (besides Champ Berry of course). I do not think this game will be very high scoring

Chicago has a very tough team, but this is a game that you cant count Tampa out of. In the end I think all 8 favorites are going to win in the 1st round, and than come round 2 we’ll see some upsets. I look forward to all the 5-8 seeds proving me wrong, as everyone loves an underdog story
