Was tooling around the playoff landscape and came across this game. Long story short, an 8 seed upset a 1 seed. Take a look at how they did it. Talk about painful

Wow...a 16-0 team loses in the first round on a last play in which the owners CB couldnt cover the WR.

On the last play of the game ... 4 seconds left and they give up a 64 yard TD. That's after a see-saw scoring flurry at the end. They were up 13-6 with 3 minutes left in the 4th and lost 20-16

So I went over to the BBB5 forum and you can imagine the chatter going on. To add insult to injury, this apparently is the second straight year they went 16-0 and lost in the playoffs. Can you imagine?

Nike-Joe, im pretty angry with you. You took my spot in PigSkin Empire. Im the OC for Tennessee (we werent even ranked before this year and hadnt won 6 games in like 20 years) and we finally get to #6 and about to go to #5 and you upset someone and jump us in the rankings!

Grrr!!!

Yea, I am on the winning team. We played those guys very close earlier this year, and I thought we were about to lose again.

Until the bomb.

I'm not going to say 100% that this is what happened, but winning has a habit of making you complacent. We (Rapid City) lost a game last year, and one this year, that in all honesty we probably should have won. Both games we lost because we were out gameplannned by a team who was hungrier than us. Not to take anything away from what DVDTalk, or Chicago did, because both are great teams, and both beat us soundly, but we may have taken them too lightly and not game planned as much as we should have.

That's something I personally like about this game, knowing that the team with the highest level players doesn't always win, and you can have a big effect on a game by coming up with just the right game plan at just the right time. and/or building your players better or building them in synergy with what your team wants to do, can sometimes have more impact than pure levels.
