Vikings to battle Six Shooters for 4th time in 2 years.
“Not again” Musky5, coach of the Compton Vikings, remarked. “We can’t seem to get rid of this team! Every time we turn around there they are standing wide-eyed and ready to knock us out again”. This after realizing the Vikings would be taking on the third seed Dodge City Six Shooters in the second round of the playoffs in the Western Conference of BBB#3. Compton and Dodge City were both created 2 years ago when the mass amount of teams were added to Goal Line Blitz, a MMORPG game. The Vikings and Six Shooters have always been feared teams in the league and this year was no different.
These two teams first took the field against each other in week 5 of season one. The Vikings went into the game like a bunch of deer in headlights. They were completely outmatched and the game was ugly from the beginning. Dodge City rolled to a 41-10 victory. After the season had its ups and downs for both teams they were forced to meet in the first round of the playoffs. Again, coach Musky5 could just not get rid of these guys. The game started off poorly for the Vikings as the Six Shooters got out to a 14-0 lead in the first half. Dodge City never looked back from there cruising to a 23-9 victory. The mid-season acquisition of Johnny Gibson, the Vikings star QB, failed to make any difference as Johnny threw 5 INTs and the Vikings never found the endzone. The season ended abruptly after that for the Six Shooters as they held the Los Angeles Arsenal in sights, but they were outscored 16-3 in the second half as the Arsenal snuck in a 25-16 victory.
The season ended earlier then hoped for both teams and they were forced to focus in during the offseason and really improve their respective teams in order to get over the top in the conference. The Vikings added a couple key offensive linemen as well as big players in the skill positions such as Sena Kobayakawa and Hans McBall. The Six Shooters went through a rough time and an ownership change as star agent DdgDktaRlz, DDR for short. DDR kept the core of the team pretty much in tact and signed his own players to deals they couldn’t pass up. The two teams met in week 5 again in season 2 and this time it was a different story for the Vikings. The game started off slow with only 3 points in the first quarter, but 2 Gary Shambling FGs and a Sena Kobayakawa 3 yard TD rush with two minutes to go in the first half put the Vikings in a commanding positions and they didn’t relinquish the lead the rest of the game.
But now they meet again, this time in the second round of the playoffs. The Vikings Six Shooters will play on Wednesday afternoon at Six Shooter Stadium in Dodge City. Either team has the talent to beat the mighty Honolulu Bulls, but only one can advance that far. “Just another day on the field” Cameron Commitus, the Six Shooters star wide-out said. “ This one will be fun to play, I can promise you that!” So there you have it. A rivalry slowly creeping into talks with Red Sox-Yankees and Ohio State-Michigan, this will be one for the ages. As always, the game can be seen on channel 7 you’re home for Vikings football!
