I just levelled and hit 16 so I have 5 points plus 4 from gear I need to add.

I want to build him as a possession receiver but he's not even getting thrown to. In the past 6 games he's gotten only 5 receptions. I don't know if it's just the CBs covering him too well or what? What can I do to get open more and get more looks?

Train your speed tonight and jumping after that
I say put
5 into jump
1 into jump catch
1 speed
2 catching

Put your gear at one skill , I would say speed .

No need to put points in jumping , you can train that instead .

I would say 5 SPs on agility considering the new changes that Bort's gonna do for next season .

A lot of the good CBs go straight to the soft cap with Speed and Agility before anything else. As a WR you need to be faster and more agile than they are to get open on them.

I would use your points to soft cap speed and then put the rest in agility.

Is it possible to be a WR without 60+ speed?

I had 55 speed most of the season and was among the top of my conference in stats. I'm at 61 speed now after I redid my equip, and my last two games have actually been worse against weaker teams.

I mean, could a WR with 35 speed possibly work? Or will faster CBs always be able to easily cover them?

Are WRs pretty much forced to have speed to even have a shot of being open? Or would high agility and vision or something else allow you to do that too?

Agility will likely shake you by a defender to get open. Vision will help you see openings in the defense.

However it all depends on how fast the opposing secondary is. Since your player is in Africa AAA, he would probably need 50ish speed to have a good chance of getting open long enough.

5 in speed 4 in agility. If you want to have a jack of all trades master of nothing then listen to the other guys.
