No, not a joke - it can help punting some.

Jumping affects kicking and punting mechanics, so it is somewhat handy. The 25 kumping that's posted there though should be more than enough.

Really? Wow. Who would have thought my level 19 kicker could make 47/50 fg's and 58/60 XP's in the regular season with Jumping 13, Agility 16 and his speed being under 18 (now 23 through training) for most of the season.

Although knowing Bort, he will nerf kickers and punters by adding all the skills into the equation anyway next season.

This is jumping for PUNTERS genius, and my punter is at 13.98 right now and I will probably take him to 15

My punter's jumping is at 16.5

I have bitten the bullet and am trying the experiment to probe Bort wrong.

I got him signed as a level 4 to a rebuilding team who lost almost every game last season (Lots of punting in my future) I have also created a level 4 NORMAL punter and am getting him on a crappy team as well. At the end of the season i will post my results to see if bort really knows what he is talking about.

If you've seen a punter punt, then this was evident to begin with.

how so? I have never seen a punter jump. I have seen a punter get lifted off the ground because of the force of his kicking motion but that is not jumping.

In this game it is.... they couldnt find anywhere else to put it, there isnt exactly a kicking motion attribute.

My guess is that Bort has said that jumping is part of every "explosive" action by a player. For example, it helps a player make diving tackles.

Punting is an "explosive" leg movement, and that's where I'd guess it comes in.

I wish we knew (again, not exact formulas and certainly not optimal ratios) what specific secondary stats helped what, such as which secondary stat will help hang time, which will help accuracy, etc..

Punters jump if the ball is snapped to high over their head...lol
