What needs improved so that a QB will hit the WR in stride consistently. Some passes are coming up behind the receivers as they run their routes. Strength, Throwing, Confidence, Vision, or Tight Spiral??

my guess would be throwing and vision....if its a long pass then strength

Accuracy problems are throwing problems.

Looking strictly at the play and the choices of skills, that is what I would say as well, but my throwing is over 80. I would think that would be enough to hit the targets most of the time. Most of the time the routes missed are in the 7-15 yard range.

In that case it'd be a catching problem by the WR. If you check the WR position forum there's a big topic about how catching is not just about bringing the ball in, but doing so in stride, in coverage, etc.

Maybe you're playing below your potential? Do you have low Morale or Energy?

Might be a Stamina/Confidence problem. Then again, it could be a vision problem. It would probably help if you'd post your build.

It can't possibly be the WR fault the QB throws the ball 2 yards behind him. The WR has to stop and then fight the CB for the ball whereas if the QB had thrown it out in front, it would be an easy catch. Our QB has the same issue. He seems to throw the ball to the spot where the receiver is at at the time of release, not where the receiver will be when the ball gets there. Our QB has throwing 59, vision 47, str 37 conf 42. He hits in stride receivers maybe 20% of the time.

Strength affects the rate of ball travel. A Fast receiver and a weaker QB arm often equates to the ball ending up behind the receiver Even with a very good throwing attribute (like over 85)

I've heard it said that Strength should be about 2/3's your receivers speed to be on target for the long routes.

Having comparable QB strength to WR catching is a good factor imo.

And having WR catching about 3:2 to WR vision.

QB vision being high obviously helps the equation. I don't think any number is too high.

Weeeellll, that QB had a DT in his face and was back peddling. The ball looked like it came up short. In that case the WR should have realized the QB was in trouble and adjusted his route to compensate. And what was that lvl 27 SS doing, picking daisies or something? The WR was wide open for most of the play.

id like to think that if the qb hits the te in stride then he is gone. either way i dont care i just want him to stop doing that crap.

I'm having the same problem with my level 11 QB, and as Dravz said I think it's a throwing problem. My QB has 48 strength, 40 vision and 45 throwing and some of his passes keep going behind the WRs.
