New Orleans Night Trippers at Saint Paul Vulcans
New Orleans has been my biggest disappointment this season. Early on in the season, I had them penciled in as a playoff team. Things sure have changed. The Vulcans have been playing well. They dropped a tough game in overtime last week. Look for them to put a beating on the Night Trippers.
Vulcans, 40-6
Philadelphia Pigeons at Ole Miss Rebels
These rats with wings are flying high. Ole Miss is working their way out of the cellar. It is a difficult task, but they are making strides. Look for the Pigeons to continue soaring.
Pigeons, 30-9
Awesomeville Bearphins at Tecmo All Stars
The preseason game of the year has lost some of its luster. Tecmo kept up their end. They come in after winning their first 14 games. The Bearphins have not lived up to the lofty goals set by their owner. They expected to be undefeated as well. Instead they needed overtime last week to keep from becoming a three loss team. Everyone knows the Bearphins knocked the All Stars out of the playoffs last season. This season is different, look for Tecmo to get revenge and give Awesomeville their 3rd loss.
All Stars, 23-14
Ottawa Outbreak at New Jersey FalCoons
Ottawa has improved their team and their record this season. There is still some work to do, but they are a team on the raise. New Jersey is lucky Sheffield is in the same conference or they wouldn't have any wins.
Outbreak, 17-9
Tampa Bay Krakens at Buffalo Chips
Tampa Bay lost a heart breaker last week to the Fight. Though they are still alive in the playoff hunt, that game may have eliminated them. Buffalo has been off more than on this season. Currently they are off to a 3 game losing streak. Add one more to that as the Krakens take out some frustration.
Krakens, 23-9
Bonita Beef Supreme at Crescent City Saints
The Saints have really come on lately. After starting with a 3-5 record, they have won 6 in a row. They now control their own destine. Bonita is still alive in the playoff picture. A win here would really help their cause. A loss means they are probably eliminated. Buh-bye tacos. We all get to see the Saints march into the playoffs.
Saints, 27-10
New Jersey Blaze at Sheffield Sabres
It isn't so much will the Blaze score a lot, it is more how fast. So far teams have been putting up 100 points on the Sabres. I see the Blaze topping that. If they can manage the clock, they could have the highest point total of all teams this season.
Blaze, 132-3
*** Eastern Conference Game of the Week ***
FC Hezbollah at 10-Yard Fight
I missed my upset special last week when the teams went into overtime. This week, we'll try again. The Fight have come on strong and are looking to make the playoffs. Only thing standing in their way is a lot of pissed of guys with guns. I don't see that being all too fair. The Fight will be able to escape with both their lives and a win.
Fight, 17-14
