So I'm new to this thing, think it is an outstanding idea btw.

Here is my build

Level 7 (boosted 3 times)

Strength: 24 Blocking: 11.2
Speed: 24.74 Tackling: 20
Agility: 25 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 11.2 Catching: 8
Stamina: 28.2 Carrying: 8
Vision: 11.2 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 11.2 Punting: 10

Special abilities:
First step 4 Change Direction 2 Shed Block 3
Tunnel Vision 2 Big Sack 1

I've made my build using the guide on builds, but that is only a general direction. I want to build a pass rushing DE.

What should my focus be? Strength, more speed, more agility, tackling, or special abilities? Any help would be great thanks!

Too many SA's. Attributes are the key to building players. SA's only really come in after you have your key attributes squared away.
Agility and Speed if you want to be pass rushing. Never put points into big sack again.

From what I understand about DE is you'll want agility and speed. Some DE's rely heavily on speed, some go balls to the wall with agility. Either or seem like a good choice. The two SA's you want to focus on is Shed Block and Tunnel Vision *AFTER* your main attributes are at 50+ (Agility/Speed) with all your equipment bonuses in them.

The guide is either a little outdated or just wrong about investing into specials. It kinda leads people to believe they should invest 1 special per level which is way too many. Don't invest into specials for a while. Get strength, then agility, and then speed to 48. After 48 it costs to points to increase. Get your vision to 25 (preferably by training while you invest SP's in str/agi/spe) Also get confidence and blocking to 20. You should strive to put all your equipment points into your most important attribute, strength. Maybe then you can invest some more into specials.
