So how does this work. Canton sit atop the conference and then we have 5 teams at 11-3 tied for second. If Pontiac beats Canton next game then we could have 6 teams tied for 1st place! Which 4 of those 6 would get home field (seeds #1-4) in the playoffs?

Don't worry. After Canton beats Pontiac tomorrow there will only be four teams deserving of home field. We won't have to worry about this until week 2 of the playoffs, but then you'll be playing Canton or the 8 seed if you get there so it'll be pretty cut and dry.

If canton wins, there will still be 4 teams tied for 2nd place meaning the tiebreaker will still be in effect. Either way, the playoffs are going to be exciting this year because there are at least 6 teams who could win our conference

Talk is cheap prettylew, try beating us on the field before celebrating home field advantage. It's harder than it looks, I mean you should know, you lost to us last season didn't you?

You're right, I was a little over exuberant in the wake of what I considered a huge upset win for Canton. I've had time to calm down and scout your defense and honestly, I think it'll be one of the tightest games we've had all year due to the fact that our teams are very similar. If your offense can put up points on our defense this game could be unfortunately close.

With that said, you should know that you didn't beat "me" last year. I was only brought on as the OC after Week 9 of Season 2. So you can hold me accountable for the 17-4 record we've posted since then. And besides that, you can ask Detroit or Milwaukee or Michigan, a win early last season doesn't guarantee a win this season. (Of course you could ask Columbus or Muder City and they might disagree )

And you winning last week does guarentee a win this season? "After Canton beats Pontiac tomorrow there will only be four teams deserving of home field." Deserve is a bit strong

I believe I already agreed that I was a little strong?

"You're right, I was a little over exuberant in the wake of what I considered a huge upset win for Canton."

And I believe I qualified my rebuttal

"(Of course you could ask Columbus or Muder City and they might disagree )"

Obviously if Columbus or Murder City can beat us two years in a row, so can you.

Finally, allow me to reiterate my true feelings about tomorrow's game...

"I've had time to calm down and scout your defense and honestly, I think it'll be one of the tightest games we've had all year due to the fact that our teams are very similar. If your offense can put up points on our defense this game could be unfortunately close."

I have nothing but respect for the 2nd ranked Passing Defense and 6th ranked rushing defense. Please don't confuse post celebration cockiness syndrome for "why are we even playing this game." This game is anything but a gimmie.

Right...5 at 11-3 in second place take away one equals 4 at 12-3 in second place. My bad, the funny thing is I used to be pretty good at Math.

Don't fprget two of the top 6 have tough out of conference games too that count every bit as much as the in conference games. The West could play a big role in deciding HFA for the East.

MCD has to play a very tough West team, in the final game of the season.

I'm actually quite annoyed I have to play the vikings on the last game of the season. I don't want to seem... overconfident, but I'm a bit worried about how my offensive energy will be after that game going into the playoffs.

That brings me some comfort. My real wish is that you end up on the opposite end of the bracket. That way we only have to play you again if we absolutely have to. I'm not sure the exact scenario is but that'd be nice. Whatever happens though, 1-6 is pretty much an "Any Given Sunday" Scenario. Any of us could make a run all the way through. Even Seattle at the 7 spot could end up winning some games. It'll be an interesting post-season.

As prime said, could either play relaxed, or the second option would be to favor backups in the first quarter.

I think you're right. Any team that makes it to the playoffs in the East isn't going to be a cup cake. It's been a very even conference this year.

The playoff games should be nailbiters.
